It's not but if it was a load of away games against top teams, we'd probably lose anyway. So missing him for winnable games could actually cost us more points

Perhaps not, on paper. But Newcastle away is pretty tough, and we were kind of banking on home form to stay in the top four. Those home games are harder now.
