What happened to new year football? One match on in the PL. None tomorrow. None none the next day.

Do you think this lack of fixture congestion over the festive period will leave PL teams rusty? Villa play Celtic soon and Man U plays Rangers. The Scottish teams have a full fixture list whilst the English teams get a break. Will the lack of game time hinder the English sides in Europe?

Scottish teams traditionally hog many of the New Year fixtures

There is a TWO WEEK winter break from the PL at the start of this month. Then another TWO WEEK winter break at the start of February. Should managers complain about this lack of game time? There are big CL games coming up in February. Will this lack of game time over winter hinder PL sides? Should there be a call for a lack of winter breaks?

No wonder Barca is in financial ruins, this is crazy!
