What happened to Spanish football? Used to always be on the TV but this isn't broadcast in the UK at all.

Also it's being played in some Middle Eastern dictatorship instead of Spain. Pathetic.

I bet they FA are cursing the fact that it's called the Community/Charity Shield, as otherwise it would be far easier to sell it to the Saudis. But it's supposed to be about helping the local community, and difficult to say that with a straight face when it's being played in a petrostate.

Barca Madrid game in the 90s at the Nou Camp, was a superb day, started in the city at 10am and the game didnt kick of until 8pm, was absolutely nuggets and Barca won, I've been to a few big derbies, Celtic Rangers being one and the cities were nothing like Barca was after the game, the entire population including kids were still cutting about celebrating at 1am

Yeh we planned it for months, a mate was living across there at the time and got us tickets through his work otherwise we would never have managed to get them, honestly one of the best football days I've had
