A typical average player who doesn't defend, attack, score or dictate games but for some unknown reason people think he is a genius in midfield. It will be another Antony for sure.
Priority should be striker to replace Ronaldo, and attacking mid to replace Fernandez.
Our goal difference is awful.
Doubt it... we should move on
I've been working in the background with the club and this deal is very much on. Can't say much more here other than watch this space.

I don't see any urgency for a RB now AWB is showing that he is learning. And Dalot better than most in the PL.
But a striker for sure.

I find it completely baffling that there are United fans who want Bruno replacing.
The man is an absolute chance creating machine. Fourth in the league in xA currently, behind only De Bruyne, Trippier and Odegaard, which should be a surprise to absolutely nobody given that he’s been in the top five in quality chance creation since almost the moment he played his first PL game.
Still leads and coordinates the United press. Still one of the best offensive pressers in football, period. Still one of the hardest working tens in the PL.
Other than a few more goals, I can’t think of anything else people could want from him really.

A couple of decent games against god awful opposition in Forest & Wolves doesn’t change much.
The full back position is so important these days and neither he nor Dalot are good enough. Dalot is better but if we want to get to the top, Dalot’s level is what we should have on the bench.
Similar with martial. I don’t want to buy a bench level player, we should be buying better than we have and then what we have goes on the bench.
Just like ETH is doing: Martinez > Maguire, Casemiro > McFred
Now we need ??? > Martial and ??? > Dalot
I’m willing to give Sancho and Antony a little bit of time but not much before they end up on the right hand side of the > equation.

Possibly.
But firstly, it’s part of the nature of the role. People will see very similar (and often worse) pass completion stats for other number tens.
And secondly, they could be a bit more consistent in their criticism if that is the case. Casemiro’s pass completion figures (80.1%) are barely any better than Bruno’s (78.6%) despite the very different roles they perform, and all I’ve seen on here is (understandably) gushing praise for all that he’s done.

Nah. Not at all. The U number the giveaway. It's why it's always surprising people falling for Barry! Or maybe not!
Sliding Doors in reference to the Gwyneth Paltrow film of the 90s where just going through or just failing to go through sliding doors changed the course of her life.
I think the main frustration with Bruno is that he messes up really simple passes at times. Still, with his output, it's worth putting up with. He would be even better though if he slowed down at times.

this is obviously miles behind someone like de bruyne, but it's also behind maddison, mount, odegaard, and numerous others (including, by the by, pogba, who has played less than 1/3 of the minutes).
boy, once these myths take hold, they sure do die slowly.

Casemiro isn’t as frustrating as Bruno is though.
I am fine for now with Bruno losing possession. He often finds that one pass that is brilliant. I just wish he would take the easy pass every now and then just to keep the attacks flowing.
And he does often miss a better opening because he tries the riskier pass. He did it twice against Wolves.

Really? There’s nothing football manager about it at all.
If the right player isn’t available then you don’t buy (within reason).
The only player in our front line currently that would deserve a place in a team trying to get back to the top is Rashford.
Replacing Sancho/Antony/Martial with similar level players is a complete waste of time & money.
It seems to me that Ten Hag is doing what we’re saying an upgrading positions. We’re currently a Top 3 - Top 6 team. That means that a lot of those players should be on the bench if we want to be a regular top 4 let alone top 2
That’s why analysts use xA (or xAG). It’s a far more useful stat than assists.
….
And also why statistics are no substation for watching players and seeing with your own eyes.
According to statistics (and I had them quoted to me on here as his defence) Telles was an outstanding attacking full back.
Having actually watched him play this clearly is not the case.
