Good player but paying way over the odds. We can't compete with that with our ownership model even with what is left with the Coutinho sale money.

You have to pay the going rate, Kash. Such a shame FSG cN't see that. Fingers crossed we get proper owners in sharpish.

FFP is dead. Look at City, banned from the CL for failing it yet readmitted almost immediately. FSG hiding behind it.

Maybe I am being deluded but we must be getting Bellingham. Why else would we sacrifice a season so we can get him the year after?

Probably delusion but reminds me when we where waiting for virgil and didn't buy another cb. But seriously I think we need a battler like rice rather than bellingham

I just can't see it. Madrid and City can blow us out of the water in terms of a financial package. We're heading for Thursday night football. Can't see Jude wanting that can you?

£250m in the summer, another £150m in this window so far. FFP?

Imagine still talking about FFP after City totally exposed it. Pure desperation

Chelsea spending all this money and they are currently 10th with City to face tomorrow.

They’ve got to be careful spending all this if they don’t qualify for Europe let alone the champions league. But then this Boehly chap is a joke tbh. Trying to sign any player linked with other clubs. Really strange.

Boehly is backed by some very rich people with him being a billionaire too. This is a completely different US ownership to FSG, Glazers and Kronkie.

Don't forget they already have Nkunku signed and sealed

I hate to say it but I'd he paid off all the loan Chelsea had, which I think was conditional, then 3-400 mill over the length of the contracts is something Chelsea can do easily.

When other teams are snapping up the best players, improving their squad and winning multiple league titles, at least we can say we stuck to FFP. I mean adhering to FFP is what the fans really want.

Chelsea are racking up debt and will hit the ffp wall and be in massive trouble as they are randomly throwing cash at any shiny new thing.

you lot want a reality check and Everton is going to provide it fairly soon sadly.

posted on 4/1/23

Nobody is really expecting us to throw around cash like Chelsea but at least some facking risk should be taken

Correct. Whilst we’re not expecting City/Chelsea like spending we should be able to spend more than the likes of West Ham, Spurs, Wolves, Villa and Everton who spent more or pretty much the same as we have over the past 4 seasons.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Don't know if it's true or not but I've heard that because of his age it comes under the umbrella of 'Development' and therefore not taken into consideration for FFP!

Don't know if anyone can confirm that.

Oh and that apart Chelsea are considered debt free since the Bohley take over anyway!

Chelsea now in for Murdyk as well. This is getting ridiculous and it's really showing FSG for what they are. The quicker they sell up the better!

How much was Nkunku?

I read Chelsea got a huge write off from the sale with Roman and in theory can spend hundreds of millions before they run the risk of FFP not that it even matters as pointed out above
