Thank Google, or someone up above, for Google translate.

True and fine words that.

Reading on the Leeds United official site, well, hard to keep eyes dry

Good luck Matusz except when you're playing Montreal. A solid pro for Leeds, we're weaker without him.
Wish I knew what you wrote Elland but I don't know how to translate it. Read I'm too lazy.

Translation

Matthew,

On behalf of all the Leeds fans, thank you so much for everything you have brought to our club over the last five and a half years. You remain in our hearts forever as a true Leeds United legend.

Good luck in the next phase of your great career.

Thanks Macca, I knew it would be a heartfelt message.

For me, he was the face of the Bielsa era. The first player I think of when I think of Bielsa's tenure. Scored the first goal of that era, scored that stunning opener at Derby and was an absolute king of sheethousery all season with some great games/goals. Also scored a cracker at Anfield on our prem return.

Modern day club legend 💙💛

Sad but not surprised he’s leaving. He was good enough to have played more prior to the WC - unforgivable that Marsch took that approach to fit his own players in and effectively robbed Klich of a chance to play in the WC.
If he knew he was going to bench him so much, he should have loaned him out at least.

The metronome of our promotion team, probably our most important player alongside Pablo. Wonderful memories from the Bielsa years. I wish you every success on your next venture, Klichy. Send us a tweet from time to time!

He was almost ever present when Bielsa took over, just about always fit, one of the promotion galacticos...great service to the club! All the best in DC!

Will always be remembered with great fondness by all Leeds supporters and it's sad that a vital piece of the Bielsa jigsaw is removed without the chance to give him a proper goodbye.

Unfortunately we haven't any better players brought in to replace him.

Feels like a real 'watershed' moment.

His statement is wonderful.

Thank you Mateusz.

I am sad to see Klicky go, I have long admired him and was voicing that opinion he even when he was sent out on loan. People point out he was an ever present for such a long time under Bielsa but fail to see that it was also true under FC Twente and Utrecht and for a Polish international to boot. What a man, what an engine. At a time when the treatment room looked like a NHS A & E corridor after 10 years of Tory Government, there he was week in week out, first name on the team sheet. Remarkable.
But, every dog has his day. It is the right time for him to move on, we do have people to take his place, Gyabi, Forshaw, Greenwood, Dallas and even Wober. Glad he has moved on now rather than at the end of his contract when he might have been left with no options.
Good luck @cli5hy.

Klichousery love it and him.

Really sad to see him go. One of my favourite players
that's ever worn the shirt. Him, Pabs, and Alioski were
magical under Messiah. And he will always be the
coolest cat on any pitch. Great message to us as a
parting gift.

Forgot to add the mad Swiss bomber: Berra.
Miss that man too.
