Gutted when I heard this RIP Gianluca Viali.
Top draw player and Top draw man.
A normal bloke like all of us. A good mate of mine who's Chelsea said he used have a ciggy on the bench when playing for chelsea and stub it out with his boot before coming on.... love it.
First saw him when chl4 started showing Italian footy. He and Roberto Mancini were brilliant for Sampdoria.
A sad day for football RIP
Sad news
I met him once at a golf range in Chiswick a few years ago and chatted for about 10 mins
Top player and a top man
R I P
Really sad news to hear of his passing away, a really great character on and off the field, you didn’t need to be a Chelsea fan to appreciate his talent. Another true gent and footballing legend passes. R.I.P. 🌹

That’s so sad. Seemed like such a nice bloke whenever he was on BBC as a pundit
Had he been ill ?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He’d had pancreatic cancer, beat it but it came back. Just about the worst type of cancer you can get as it’s largely symptomless until it’s very advanced, poor facker.

my Nan died of this type of cancer
One of the worst you can get
RIP Luca
Met him as a young kid and he was lovely and signed an autograph I still have to do this day. So sad.
I bet for many on here he will be the first Chelsea manager they can remember.
R.I.P Gianluca Vialli
RIP
So many legends dropping
Oh man just saw the news about Vialli . To say I'm gutted would be an understatement. Absolute gent and very honourable man. A much bigger part of our story than modern day fans will understand. Both as player and manager he was the start of us becoming the multi trophy winning club we fully became under Roman.

Was so damned chuffed when he joined us... absolutely class
Two years younger than me too
Got informed by my dad that I used to watch Chelsea a lot when I first started watching football, with him, Zola etc
So sad
I loved Vialli. Style, class and dignity.
A very sad day 💔
RIP Luca. We won’t forget what you did for us.
Great player. Even better man. Universally loved.
Too young to leave us. Will be sadly missed.
RIP Vialli
Beautiful man, no matter who you follow, Ciao fella, way way too young 🌹
