Kids etc for league and FA cup, go for europa and league. They are far better trophies now we probably won’t come near winning the league but the europa is possible. League cup lowest priority
Yes. Have to win a trophy this year.
Win a trophy. Flash it to Kane as proof that we offer a better chance of silverware than Spurs. Sign him for 3 years to fire us back amongst Europe’s elite.
Hopefully a strong team tonight.
Shouldn't need a first eleven to beat Charlton of course.
League cup I'm not bothered about unless we reach the semis, which we should do (not a jinx unless Robb makes an article on it). FA Cup I'd love to win - only ever seen us win it once which is mental.
We don’t have a league game for another 8 days. We should go strong tonight. League is the most important for me though.

That’ll be just in time for him to have the pace of a snail.
It would be a season 1 huge accomplishment for United and ETH if we guarantee top 4 and win 1 of them 3 cups.
I believe we can do it
One game at a time, but ETH can afford to go strong tonight and rest players on Tuesday.
Charlton are in the bottom third of League One I believe, and in poor form. A United second string replete with European internationals should be putting them away pretty comfortably.
I’d take a comfortable top 4 finish over a trophy this season.
If we can rotate effectively it shouldn’t be a case of just prioritising one competition over the other. I suspect ETH would be looking at it based on opposition anyway. Barca will obviously be our toughest test in the cups coming up, but if we progress and get some crappy team from Austria in the next round but play City in the league cup then we’ll probably rotate according to the strength of those teams.

This.
I think it will be about pragmatically approaching fixtures based on a mixture of not just which competitions we prioritise, but how much recovery time we have and how strong we need to be in relation to the quality of the opposition.
I hope we’ve got an eye on the league cup, though. Winning that mid season could give the team a real lift. I think we all have question marks over the mentality of this team, so winning something would mark a slight shift and be a welcome thing for the rest of the season.
Yeah we have to play it by ear. After Barca we could get an easy run and at the same time get tough away games in the FA cup. The priority should always be the league.

My view too
I expect that novice ETH will be reading this thread avidly hoping to gain some knowledgeable advice on team selection and fixture management.
League cup would be great but that means most likely having to beat city in either the SF or final. I guess we’ll have a better idea how well we can perform against them next week

I know they hammered us earlier in the season, but beating City isn’t something we’ve had huge trouble with over the years.
