Todd Cantwell and Tom Davies en route.

Seems like it could be a move to a bigger club from Cantwell's perspective and perhaps a chance to get his career back on track for Davies. Happy to get them in on pre-contracts and if it doesn't work out we could probably get a few million back flogging them back down south in a year or two.

I’ve been on the Everton forum Grand old teams quite a bit this season - started to keep up to date with Richarlison to Spurs news then as the season progresses they are good comedic value - especially their relegation thread.

Anyway - they are more or less rate Tom Davies as the worst player at the club, so good luck

its kl he has a sticky thread for him.

tbf like any one team forum its a mixed bag, some saying he isnt good enough, some saying he should be starting more.

He does a lot of good for homeless people so fair play to the lad.

The problem is that he plays football like me.

If he wasn’t an Evertonian he would never have played as much as he did.

Without meaning to be disrespectful, he might actually do okay in Scotland.

You'd be surprised at the amount of players who come up here from England and fail miserably.

normally doent happen with those looking to prove a point. tends to be those that have comfortably made it down south aleady and are looking to end their careers that struggle.

What's their injury record like?

posted on 9/1/23

Cantwell seems fine for them ... no injuries since 2020.

Davies never really had many but did have a knee injury late 2020 that kept him out a while

Sure but I’ve also seen Scott Sinclair look like Messi up there - some very good sides in the SPL and then there is Motherwell

It's a popular tale to point to players from down South who fail miserably but the reality is the overwhelming majority are a huge success simply because they have more quality than anyone else up here.

Goldson has been arguably the most consistent defender in the league over the last 5 years and he was backup at Brighton whilst Davies already looks like he will stroll it despite being more or less Championship standard. At Celtic CCV is head and shoulders above most having come from Spurs and Hart is more than competent even at this stage.

Add in players like Davis, Defoe, Kent, Sinclair, Toure, Boyata, Ntcham and the list of players who have come up here and been some of the better players in the league despite not enjoying similar status in the Prem with the teams they came from.

You get the odd case who doesn't make it but rarely is it for football reasons - Ramsey for example just couldn't stay fit but even at half pace when he did play he looked like he had more than others on the pitch.

As for Davies and Cantwell they are upgrades on what we have and provide more energy getting box to box and beyond the front players. Both have good pedigrees despite losing their way a bit so on Bosmans are definitely worth a punt.

Ntcham and Toure 😂😂 I feel you could have selected some more appropriate players who have come up north for Celtic. Dembele, Forster as just a couple for starters.
