The clutching at straws is tremendous. Juranovic out of position had a poor game but in no way got ripped to shreds by the atrcity that is Sakala. All Sakala does is run fast and try to hit a ball. The only thing he did in that game was get beat to the ball by Starfelt, stand on Starfelt's foot, fall over, fake cry to get a penalty. In a must win game you got a draw.

See if people tried to compare Barisic level with Juranovic I would understand (but still disagree) but at least the comparison would be worthwhile

Seems like it could be a move to a bigger club from Cantwell's perspective and perhaps a chance to get his career back on track for Davies. Happy to get them in on pre-contracts and if it doesn't work out we could probably get a few million back flogging them back down south in a year or two.

Cantwell hasn't been playing well here at Norwich for the last two seasons. If he doesn't play well at Rangers he will be worth jack shut, Rangers wont be flogging him for any profit.

They seem to be taking their time to get here...it's no that long a road ffs

I did say Davies was too much of a gamble.

He had potential but he’s stagnated for years so can’t say I’m disappointed about that one.

Unless of course he’s the only CM we are after because we need reinforcements in there and at the very least he’s better than Sands.

Since seen Beale said we were never in for him and only complimented him because he knew him as a young player and was asked about him.

Is it possible with the influx of Asian players to Celtic that it has the possibility to become a problem when Postecoglu leaves?

It shouldn't really but it's happened before, a manager brings in a load of players he's familiar with from a culture he has a shared understanding of and the next guy doesn't get it.

It’ll all depend on who comes in I suppose.

the price discrepencies happen cos there are values of players when the club dont want to sell them and prices when they are trying to get rid.

In GG's case he is unhappy with his situation and looking to leave so clubs wont pay over the odds.

It was a strange comment as we've bought 3 players already. One has featured and done quite well and the manager clearly wanted all 3.

I'd say it's been a very good window so far.

Whereas JJ and GG were two of your better players who appear to be going, certainly against Rangers in last year or so. Johnston didn’t look as good, but JJ was also poor. GG caused us more problems than Kyogo for me.

I'd be interested to see anywhere that someone has said GG would fetch £15M. Of all the players we have ideas that they may well develop into a big money sale he has never been in the conversation.

As for any players valuation it will always vary depending on the sellign club and buying club and what the player means to each of them. Take Juranovic for example, as a minimum he is worth £6-7M but as we have 2 other right backs is not critical to our immediate future. If say a Barca or Chelsea were interested then getting the right player could mean the difference od CL or even winning the league so the value of getting a quality player could be £10-20M. If a team with aspirations to get there but aren't yet there then they won't gamble £10-20M especially if they have a limited budget.

I think Celtic should be looking for £10M plus for Juranovic simply due to the fact he was a stand out player at the world cup and a semi finalist. However, we should not play silly games i.e. if offered £7M and we reject it then we have his wages to cover until the next transfer window so will end up at a loss due to having brought in Johnson
