Definitely prefer Dier over Sanchez. If he has better defenders around him it can help bring the best out of him. Sanchez has not been good for years, Dier has at least he substantial spells where he's been decent.
I've known them all along but you don't. Which is why you arent able to learn from the fact that the vast majority of your fans including you were wrong about Giroud and still think that when a player has all the attributes like Sanchez or Giroud you don't just sideline or get rid of them
In your case it cost you top 4 while Giroud went on to win the Champions league. If Sanchez leaves I have no doubt we will have gotten rid of him before he came good
