Strange one with Shaw, I get he can transitioning the ball quicker and he's been playing well but this is not forest or charlton anf we're going to do alot of defending today and surely martinez would be better for this game

ETH explained why he went with Shaw. Martinez isn’t fully ready. I’d much rather Shaw than Maguire or Lindelof in this game.

I wonder if ETH takes the risk of resting Varane and Shaw vs Palace - to keep them fresh for Arsenal

I don't mean be naive and gung ho but if the match is there for the winning go for it.

Wouldn't read too much into Southampton beating City.

City's training all week will have been geared towards today. All their match preparation and tactics will have been on United.

Think City will be bang on it today and we'll be right up against it. Sadly.

It's a shame martinez returned so late after the wc, but it's strange i haven't felt this confident in a game against city for years, so u know what's coming.....sorry

I disagree.

KDB said himself, everyone knows how we play, and that doesn't change.

It's going to be really tough today and I think we'll need to make sure we take our chances. We could do with Martial finding his shooting boots. I'm almost certain we'll have a one on one chance at some point. Just hope we take it.

I know it’s a cliche but the first goal really is crucial today imo.

I'll be over the moon if it's us

I can see us sitting back and hitting them on the break.

We need to take our chances early on. If we get ahead I can see a very defensive display after.

Ball retention from the front line and midfield needs to be far better than at the Etihad.

I have gone for a City win on this. We are well due a poor game and I think it happens today.
