I am 100% sure that Marsch and the players will take great satisfaction from this result. It was a comprehensive victory because the game was already over before they scored the first, and indeed, from the sound of things, it could easily have been ten, we created so many chances.
Forget the late banana skins, is it finally clicking or were Bardiff so poor?
Nice to get the win at last against Cardiff and I'm pleased for Gnonto who is just a class above again tonight plus Rodrigo, Bamford, Harrison and Adams had good games but the rest for me were pretty average.
Wober looks okay but the likes of Rasmus, Lorente, Firpo, Ayling, Rocco, Greenwood, Aaronson and Gelhardt are just not good enough in my opinion for the Premier league.
The same old defensive frailties took the shine off what should have been our best ever win over Cardiff but alas Laurel and Hardy stuff at the back gifted them 2 goals.
anybody got a stat on the last time we put five past somebody else?
Cardiff looked like Championship strugglers. Agree with the above mentioned players, not being good enogh for the PL.
Brentford's attackers who were watching must be looking forward to sunday

Excellent summary, Macca, and with Wober probably out on Sunday, we will struggle to contain Brentford. Toney, Mbuemo and Wissa will look at this game tonight and rub their hands in glee.
I thought Rasmus was okay tonight. Better than he has been anyway. Roca I don't rate. Hope we go in for that midfielder. Aronsson was awful again, surely dropped for Brentford

Ffs man, there's some nonsense spouted on here.
If we lose on Sunday... JM will be sacked so although 5 goals at home to a Cardiff B side might seem all rosey, the unprofessional, lazy defending shouted out to me that their game management and conentration is very poor.
The defence and Meslier will not have got a confidence boost from tonight. The attack will have done so though and glory be to God and thank all our Lucky stars for that because otherwise we would be sunk without trace.
Hopefully our attack which is Premier League can score one more goal than Brentford.

Thing is….. if we’d have got a clean sheet tonight, you can just see them thinking ‘all sorted’ with the defence.

Why are there so many so called Leeds fans who after a comfortable victory are looking for reasons to be negative. Firpo looked OK tonight and linked up well with Gnonto but he is Firpo and therefore people will always want to think the worst.
Wober was OK, been at the club for a week or two and should get better. Ayling replaced him and was playing out of position on the wrong side of the CB partnership. Made one mistake which was costly, will not be in that position on Sunday.
Llorente was comfortable all night was not to blame for either goal.
RK, isn't good, I will give you that. I would play Drameh.
Roca was unfortunate with the penalty but other than his trying to score from stupid places he was fairly solid.
I have no idea why people, after a good team display, are so bitter.

And Macca, really, is that the best you can come up with?
Hey Els if you don't agree with me that's fine there are loads of opinions on here I disagree with and I will explain why and put forward my arguments always in a polite and respectful manner.
Your reply of "Ffs man, there's some nonsense spouted on here" did not tick the polite and respectful box so therefore I replied in a similar fashion.
I know you champion the U21's and watch a lot more of them than most and no doubt my opinion that I do not feel they are Premier league standard stings your senses but unfortunately tonight for me and for this season that is my opinion.
Ironically though I have always thought Hjelda looked good enough and Draneh too but both seem to have fallen out of favour with the management.
Hopefully no hard feelings and we can continue to agree and disagree in equal measure.
Els
Completely agree.
Firpo and Ram were excellent tonight.
Rodrigo is on fire, Bamford back and looks sharp.
Willy what a player, harrison starting to come back to form. Sinny back from injury, Rutter to come in.
I wasnt in my normal seat and took my kids and were at front of east stand, we was excellent tonight, hungry and could have had 10.
Concede a sloppy goal and a dodgy pen, when game was over.
It happens, the squad I think is looking really really good for me.
We’ll be fine, and future looks bright for me
Brentford have won 4 and drawn 1 of their last five, including wins against City and Liverpool. Will we need to score more than two to beat them?
Very pleased with the result and performance tonight.
Scored 5 and could have had more. You can only beat whats in front of you.
Firpo was very good.
Wober we still havent conceded a goal with him on the pitch eh jesse!
Willy sensational. Must be worth £20m already.
Jack is back in business.
Greenwood can be up and down but he impressed me tonight also.
Lets hope we can continue these last two performances into the Brentford game and can get 3 valuable league points.
Willy sensational. Must be worth £20m already.

chelsea just paid £80m for an older player from a farmers league.
Id wanting near that
We look like a team that will need to score 3 in a game to win it, which we will do from time to time. Cardiff were nowhere near our level yet still put the ball in the back of the net 3 times.
Was at the game, we played well mostly, especially when 3 up, Cardiff gave up and we carved through them at will. We did go flat at times and did let Cardiff settle despite scoring so quickly. Better teams will punish us. Greenwood is the weak link in midfield, Gnonto is class and has quadrupled his price tag already, we have attacking options coming out of our ears and Marsch cut a very frustrated and somewhat angry figure throughout.
Meslier 6
Kristensen 6
Llorente 6
Wober 6
Firpo 6.5
Adams 6.5
Roca 6.5
Greenwood 5
Gnonto 8.5
Harrison 7
Rodrigo 7.5
Bamford 8
Geldhart 6.5
Ayling 5.5
Aaronson 6

Gnonto 10 for me. Absolutely brilliant. I think Matty
said on thread he could keep us up. I agree. 3.5 mill.
What a steal and great scouting by the club.
Very impressed with my favourite kicking post: Firpo.
He looked like a footballer tonight. If he can do that
in the Prem and consistently, fantastic.
Jack looks different. Better roaming through the middle.
Him, Rodrigo, and Gnonto dominated.
Kristensen, Wober, Adams solid games.
Bamford's sweet left foot on full display. Maybe having
so many options in attack has helped take the pressure
off? Whatever it is, he feels like the cherry on top.
Mes, Llorente, Roca, Greenwood, Geldhart, Aaronson,
and Sinisterra did fine. Didn't hurt us and contributed
to a really good team performance.
Ayling oh dear. Oh well. I'm sure he'll bounce back.
Keep this style of football up against Prem teams,
starting with beating Brentford, and I think Jesse will
be here a while longer and we should be safe. Didn't
think I'd be saying that a few days ago.
Count me as happy.
And that pass by Jack to set up Rods. Sublime.
Willy G, what a player! I mean that finish was world class from what will be a world class player.
We’ve got a good squad, but defence looks too weak, probably down to narrow tactics
Very enjoyable game and much needed result, we are building a good little squad I would like to see another midfield player in and Greenwood sent out on loan, at the moment I think hes well off the premier league hes got a good engine and can deliver a good dead ball but doesnt seem to read the game and it passes him by,
happens, the squad I think is looking really really good for me.
We’ll be fine, and future looks bright for me

Strongest I can remember in years. Club have thrown the money but Marsche deserves credit for progressing some of the kids
Attacking wise, we have Gnonto, Sinisterra, Harrison and Somerville. All young, fast, hungry.
Upfront as you say, the new signing whose a kid and the experience and quality of Bamford who can hopefully now be used sparingly and protected back to full fitness
Rodrigo is playing very well. Whether as a 10 or upfront.
That's serious depth.
Keeper I am a fan of. He's only going to get better.
We do.need a midfielder of quality alongside Adams. The issue for me is defensively. Not sure where they seem Wobles, but I'd play hm, Ayling. But otherwise need 2 defenders. We are weak there
