I think the fact we have to go back 23 years for something similar shows just how special a goal it was!
Agree with the closeness of the defender and time to set.
Thought the ball from Rodrigo was exquisite.
2 top class goals and feel privileged one was for my team and I was there to see it........
what a pass, what a strike. both great but willie's a bit greater.

Spot on.
di canio more spectacular strike, gnonto's more difficult to execute, distraction of player in front, angle was more over his shoulder and he was moving away from the ball.
Both great goals, pickem for me.
Di Canio's was better but Gnonto's was harder given the player right in front of him. He had to have gambled on the defender missing it.
Both fantastic strikes. I'd go for Di Canio's, as it was almost twice as far out. Probably a bit of nostalgia thrown in there too.

Willy all day long. The pass from Rod was millimetre perfect to clear the defender and Willy had to position himself to get the strike. Di Canio probably looks slightly better in terms of smoothness but Cresswell has a much clearer line of sight to find him. Together, although they are both fabulous goals, Di Canio and Cresswell do not match the technical excellence shown by two Leeds players at the top of their games.

Could not resist showing Yeboah's goals
Imagine if Rashford, Saka or Haaland scored that goal - we'd never hear the last of it.

Although I am a Man Utd fan, I was actually at ER when he scored the one against Liverpool. I was on the halfway line about 5 rows back and had a great view of the strike/trajectory of the ball from behind. What a strike. Made me jump out of my seat along with all the Leeds fans.
Right up there with the best goals that I have seen live.
