It does make you wonder because it's the same formation and the same front 3 as last year but something clearly isn't working for him. Probably doesn't help that Conte chops and changes the WB roles all the time as none of them are any good..... Ivan's set pieces are decent but his legs are defo going
Isn't it more a mixture of injury/overplayed/world cup?
I was saying to my son yesterday, that I am surpised Son and Perisic have not formed a potent combination down that side. In fact more the opposite, they barely link up at all. Both quality and expereicned so youd think theyd get a partnership going but it seems not. Bad coaching?

Yep.
I think it's less on Perisic, more that an inside forward role doesn't suit Son as well as playing out wide. He's expected to do more hold up/close passing and it's not his game really. It's not like he suddenly comes to life with Sessegnon there.
I think there is something in this, and it is so typical of fickle fans to slate Sonny for his poor form, when Perisic has been just as bad on the whole. That chance that Perisic missed last night was massive, and a horrendous miss which changed the entire dynamic of the game.
As far as new signings go, Perisic has not lived up to his reputation, he has just a handful of assists and has been found out defensively. He is clearly a good player but so far he is not producing enough.

conte has to ditch this 3 cb formation. It’s clearly not working and isn’t going to anymore the players have given up on it too. Don’t help they can’t defend either.
I see Arsenal gave signed Trossard too…not re sure why we wanted him but show clubs who want pjj ok Ayers go out and sign them. We just dic about as usual…it’s depressing really is.
No because he’s been rubbish with Sessegnon and on international duty too
Son is 30 now, his main attributes were pace and ball control, pace has definitely diminished, ball control too it would appear
Son Heung-Min’s past 15 Premier League starts:
‣ 1 goal
‣ 1 assist
‣ 1 big chance created

Lol ball control has never been one of his main attributes. He was clown shoes before his peak.
Would say the best thing about him is his first time finishing with either foot

And usually his touch to set up a shot.
Son is great if he has acres of space to run into. If he his faced with a wall of defenders he us next to useless.
I am still trying to fathom out how he beat most of the Burnley team when he scored that solo goal a few seasons back. I don't think he has beaten a player since.

Has anyone realized that injury was the start of his loss of performance.
And he never played well in that mask either.
Played with sessegnon the other day and he was rubbish.
It`s a strange one with Sonny, you don`t just drop off a cliff at age 30 after years of top performances, players peak and then decline gradually.
I`m not sure what the issue is, but it is almost certainly Lenic`s fault whatever it is.
