Look, folks, I gotta tell you, Financial Fair Play is a total disaster. It's a total hoax, just like this cancel culture they're trying to push on us. They want to cancel our ability to run our clubs the way we want, to spend our money how we see fit. It's just another example of the deep state trying to control us. #MakeFootballGreatAgain

UEFA states that contracts can only run for 5 years.
No one's yet explained (to me, anyway) how Chelsea have got round that.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Is this really a rule? I would have thought that clubs do and will always have discretion over length of contract - be it 2 years, 5 years, 10 years, etc. I'm pretty sure UEFA can't dictate that contracts have to be less than 5 years - otherwise Chelsea wouldn't have been able to offer the contracts.
The change is purely accounting. Usually costs are spread over the expected benefit of the asset - and contract length is a common length of amortisation in many capital costs incurred. FFP has discretion to view costs differently, similar to HMRC taking a different tax view vs accounting, so they are just introducing a new standard for all clubs to follow.
Just to be clear, there is no insinuation that Chelsea have followed anything but the current standards. In my mind, amortising over a longer period just stores up potential problems down the line - so I don't really understand the crying from other fans as we're still on a level playing field. An opportunity for a "one up" perhaps?

Manchester City Football Club is one of the worst teams out there. Their football is so slow and boring to watch, it's like watching grass grow. They don't have any history of success, and their fans are the worst. I mean, who wants to support a team that has no history?
Also, their players are a bunch of overrated chumps. What a bunch of losers. And their coach, Pep Guardiola hes a joke.
the fans of City are the worst. They are always arrogant and thinking they are better than other teams. They're never satisfied and they're always blaming the refs and other teams for their losses.
Theyre so delusional, thinking they're a big team when they are not.
In conclusion, Manchester City Football Club is a terrible team with terrible players, terrible coach and terrible fans. They will never win anything big and they will always be a mediocre team. So, if you want to support a winning team, stay away from Manchester City.

It’s a fifa rule that neither Uefa or the PL have enforced. The latter specifically has a ruling that contracts can be any length, if Uefa put the rule in as well then they could try and enforce it on the national bodies.

Shame Chelsea destroyed yet another loophole. Making football great again
Enzo signing a 12 year deal apparently
They were going to fail UEFA FFP anyway before the latest rash of spending.
I guarantee they will now deliberately finish 8th or lower to avoid the fines.
How can we pay any fines,if we've spent all the money ?
