I think it would be fair to say Poch got the best of out the squad before burning out
However I wouldn’t go to over the top on his involvement with players like walker, dembele , verts and Toby ….all those players would have been top class with or without Poch but Poch certainly utilised them all brilliantly
The only two players who excelled under Poch and were all down to him were rose and Dier who both were average before and after him

If winning the title is failing. Then so did all those before him.
What’s with all this negativity Sock
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It's rare for PSG not to win the title, and not a big success to win it, yes he failed to move PSG as a ub forwards just as he did spurs that's why they got rid
That's why we also got rid, as Sandy said he undeperormed with the team he had
This romantic ideal of him is childish. You remember the football we played under him because of the team we had at that time. We could have had Allardyce as manager and still played good football
He's not coming back anyway, he does not want to get found out.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Lloris - fair point he was widely regarded as a top player when Poch signed
Vertonghen - was obviously always a good talent, but improved
Alderweireld - clearly Poch identified, signed and improved
Walker - was widely lambasted by most of the fan base before Poch. Turned him into the PLs best RB
Rose - was a 1m footballer that couldn’t get a kick before Poch
Trippier - signed for 4m and was playing well under Poch. Was a great buy as Rose’s understudy.
Dembele - many thought he was a top talent, but Poch made him consistent and as like Walker brought out the best in his game
Eriksen - many could see the talent but again it was Poch that brought out his best
Alli - signed for 4m went on the hit crazy numbers. Has failed to ever reach those heights with any manager since and his career has went on a downward trajectory
Wanyama - again a Poch signing that at first looked unreal, a real force in MF. Injuries unfortunately blighted him
Dier - well was Dier, but he played his best football for Poch in DMF, slotting between the two CBs are the team transitioned into attack
Kane - kudos to Sherwood for giving him his chance. But it was Poch that ultimately that built an environment for his kick on and feel confident to hit dizzying heights
I could go on and name others. You’ll likely mention the big signings Poch made that on appearance failed. But that only tells half the story. Anyone who knows their onions knows Poch had a specific way of playing that meant players took time to settle into the team. Whose knows how them players would be doing now. Lo Celso got to a CL semi and Ndombele is on the cusp of a serie A title. So the talent is clearly there.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Under a top manager that team would have won trophies. Poch is not a top manager that is why he has spent so much time out of work since leaving Spurs.

Sandy say what you want or even your puppet account. Ultimately 95% of fans recognise the work he done at Spurs. Most recognise he changed the whole culture of the club, that prior to his tenure wasn’t ever taken seriously. Even on here many simply talked actual football for a change during that time - taking each game as they came - rather than focus on all the aspects the club was failing in, like previously and since
It's simple Belfast Levy delivered on the stadium and training facilities leaving us in a good long term position
Poch burned out the squad without winning trophies and left us in a poor short term position
Fans like these romantic notions but don't see the reality of running a football club and don't have the patience to understand it
And the fact you have to revert to how many fans think the same as you says youve lost the argument

Rather than the current team actually being zero points of 5th, still in the CL and still in the FA Cup.
Like I said the current side is performing better under Conte than the team Pochettino left behind when he was sacked.
Perhaps Belfast should ask PSG fans whether they want him back after they booed him during the title celebrations.

Both arguments can be true and aligned.
The stadium is great as I’m sure the training facilities are also. Levy is a high calibre businessman. But he is a numbers man, margins are everything to him. There is no doubting that the balance sheet was affected by such large investment and ultimately the football team suffered as a result in the short term.
But make no mistake Levy and Lewis will ultimately see a far greater return on their investment from the infrastructure than they would’ve from winning trophies. And let’s not forget the will get a massive return for selling the club as it’s worth ridiculous money of the back of stadium loans they took out against the club’s future increased revenue.
It’s why so many speak not supporting a property portfolio over an actual football team.

Worst CL win ratio at PSG and United didnt want him. Let's be real here not romantic

And for all it’s inadequacies it was 4 points of 5th
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Rather than the current team actually being zero points of 5th, still in the CL and still in the FA Cup.
Like I said the current side is performing better under Conte than the team Pochettino left behind when he was sacked.

Perhaps Belfast should ask PSG fans whether they want him back after they booed him during the title celebrations.

It's simple Belfast Levy delivered on the stadium and training facilities leaving us in a good long term position
Poch burned out the squad without winning trophies and left us in a poor short term position
Fans like these romantic notions but don't see the reality of running a football club and don't have the patience to understand it
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Both arguments can be true and aligned.

PSG fans booed Lionel Messi I would’nt take anything their plastics say with a pinch of salt. They are as bad as the Madrid fans.
