What do you mean? Every player has their price. He's not been able to bring in Artetas no.1 targets for a couple years now..fact!

The guy should be nowhere near a negotiating table or in charge of the running of a football club. He wasn't long ago an ex player and then took over a role at the brazil international team..a completely different set up to the running of a club in a domestic league?

Where exactly is his experience that makes him qualified?

The guys a complete amateur and should not be running a football club.

Support Arteta and the team we don’t need anymore negativity at Arsenal

I don't get the praise either, but equally I don't get the slating.

I myself have my reservations on signing him, but let's see him play for us first before sticking the knife in.

Jorginho seems to have been a regular for Chelsea this season in the PL, captaining the side 7 times out of his 18 appearances.

About £80m that was the figure doing the rounds

So we don't actually know what the "asking price" was nor if it was met.

We do know that Brighton stated he was not for sale during the Jan window.

Exactly, different ITKs said anything from £80-£100m but if Brighton say he's not for sale then no one really knows. Player valuations are a strange thing. If we coughed up £100m then maybe they say yes, maybe its still no and we wonder why they are wasting time pursuing a player not for sale.

At least they turned to another target and got it done quickly. You can't please all the fans all the time but at least we've got a player who Arteta rates and will trust to manage Partey's workload.

Elneny is out for an extended period so its good that we got Jorginho

Overpaying players usually turns out bad. Caicedo for 80m is way overpayed. You can just splash cash and get Maguire, Lukaku or Pepe. You lot think this is Fifa or Football manager

I think Jorginho at 10-12m is a sensible buy. ✔

Seems Brighton just flat out refused to sell at any price this window. Probably thought they don’t really need the money at the moment, wouldn’t be able to adequately replace him this month, and would rather have him so they can push for Europe.

Jorginho is underwhelming of course after we missed out on other targets, and he doesn’t exactly improve our first 11. But I’d rather have him than had to rely on lokonga to step into the team. It’s a shortish deal, and adds depth, it’s not an awful deal.

I think it’s a good signing for Arsenal. You play with a style and intensity that can cover for some of his weaknesses, and should help express his talents in possession.

Of course Brighton would have sold at the right price. Probably something close to 100m pounds. Don't know much about Caicedo, so not sure if that would be money well spent on someone who may not even start for us.

He's not awful. He's not going to be a first choice starter for you either but he's not that bad and good cover/option for you at a decent price. Clearly a short term solution for you anyhow.

Hard to know what his impact will be but if he comes in for Partey my fear it will be like Xhaka playing CDM. He isn't mobile enough to cover the required ground. Better than nothing but it's underwhelming.

How many times are you prepared to be proved wrong by the current regime. Don’t you get embarrassed by constantly being wrong

He's a good player but his lack of mobility is really starting to show now. Best move to extract the most of his talents for the time he has left would've been to go back to Serie A, but he'll do a job for you if Arteta uses him wisely

He’ll be good for you in CL next season against lesser opposition
