The expectation should be that they now win every single game for the rest of the season after spending 300 million in the last few days. Any single point dropped or loss is humiliation

Isn`t the £311 spent before the £300 million enough humiliation with the club sitting in the bottom half of the table.

Some of that money already looks wasted. Koulabaly a dud. Cucurella looks garbage. Fofana a permanent crock.

Market value of what they've bought is probably about £300m

Add in the wage bill, then I could see the said club going bust circa 2025.

I’m genuinely asking is he that good?!

I watched all of Argentinas games and I don’t remember him …he certainly didn’t stand out as doing anything great

Chelsea have gone a bit crazy

I couldn’t give a rats about Chelsea’s spending

They can spend spend spend for all I care

This article and the comments that have followed from some just reek of jealousy to be honest.

If Spurs had gone out and spent like this you'd be giddy as fack.

I guess in reality the key to speding the money no matter how much you have is to ensure you buy the right type of players with the correct attitude, motivation and hunger thats required at your club and the players you actually need at that given time and in an ideal situation with one eye on the future too.

You could go out and buy the best 11 players in world in their positions gk, def, mid, fw don't mean they are going to be able to play well together.

And also could not give a flying feck what other clubs are spedning. My one and only interest is Tottenham end of

The thing I find funny is, they've brought in a slow build project sort of manager in in Potter, and they're treating him like this Jose or Conte type.

Meanwhile we're treating Conte like he's Potter.

i would expect anything, as money spent now doesn't change the past

such a stupid question op

The thing that bothers me is how Chelsea always seem to take the mickey with transfers to the point where restrictions are retrospectively put in place, so it's like other clubs are being punished for Chelsea's excessive actions.

Take FFP in the first place. It was introduced after Chelsea and Man City took spending to ridiculous levels, so Chelsea spent more excessive than any other club before those rules were introduced.

Then they sold players like Oscar to Chinese PL clubs for ridiculous money, which prompted transfer restrictions in the Chinese PL, meaning no other club could reap the same rewards.

Then this Amortization loophole, which tbf could prove to be a negative in the future. Some clubs already did this anyway, but Chelsea did it so excessively that the loophole got closed, resulting in their current splurge which other clubs again cannot repeat.

We need to look at our own situtation with transfers. We all know these are the 1st team players I think we currently have out on loan, and one terminated. Majority of them (i.e. the ones who have actually played for us) have moslty been shat......

Tanguy Ndombele - £63m - Shat
Giovani Lo Celso- £55m - Shat
Sergio Reguilon - £32m - Shat
Bryan Gil - £22m (+ Lamela) - Not given a real chance
󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿Djed Spence - £20m - Pathetic how he's been treated
Matt Doherty - £15m - Shat/Terminated
󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿Harry Winks - £0 - Showed real promise - then Shat
Joe Rodon - £15m - not really given a chance
Destiny Udogie - £15m - next season we see
