Not anything new. We can't claim to be the biggest club in the world but also complain when we're treated differently.

Its because we're an actual big club, not a scrappy underdog punching above our weight for 3 years out of 30+.

The flipside though is that this decline is surely all the more dramatic, given that Liverpool were two games away from winning the quadruple in May.

They were poor defensively and push so high up, yet kept getting away with it(two cup finals, West Ham, wolves and other games) Add to that they’ve lost their best player and hardest working striker, vvd and Robertson have lost form and firmino and other key injuries have hindered them.
