You know, it’s all gone quiet on the Haaland deal… but does anyone know how much City paid for him?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

£93m.

£51m went to Dortmund.

£22m went to Haaland's family.

£20m went to Haaland's agent(s).

United were second in 2012, 2018 and 2021.

Liverpool second in 2014, 2019 and 2022.

Feck me.

I'd still take it though, no doubt.

I think it will be resolved with transfer bans and fines.

I think 2022 would be included as per Arab's comment on page 1 of this article.

Although the cheque to his agent was made out to Mino Raiola and has yet to be cashed.

I bet City will get away with it. Someone will get paid off.

The language that is being employed here by the City legal team is straight out of the "Dictator of a regime" handbook.

City said they were "surprised" by the charges and are supported by a "body of irrefutable evidence".

yes of course. Very surprised. Loooooads of irrefutable evidence.

£52m release clause to Dortmund

Probably that again to his representatives
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Maybe paying him a second salary too, like they did with Mancini

However, if it's a 10 point deduction for each season, then...

It's a 10 point deduction so, United only win 1 extra league from this. Sad for you lot, Liverpool will win 3.

22 > 21

City would actually get to keep one of their titles though, I think.

Up to now it will only be 2012, 2014, 2018 as the years after this City haven't provided documentation for. They are currently being shredded in the accounts department.

Should be deducted prize money for those seasons they cheated, resulting in further FFP failures, meaning
future points deductions as well as historic.

So we’re all agreed, they’ll get an inconsequential fine that will line the pockets of the bods at the PL and that’ll be the last we hear of it?

How long before the emir picks up the phone to remind Downing Street exactly how much civilian and government contract business Abu Dhabi provides?

Both in the Gulf and on British soil.

The Al Yamama scandal from all those years ago comes to mind.

Can't any team win a PL title these days without an asterisk next to their name?
