i was about to eat a whole bunch of sour grapes for lunch, but i've now had my fill.

only thing the op failed to mention was the media, which has been instrumental in propelling arsenal to the top of the table.

This is nothing like Leicester season at all. We finished 5th last season, not an unusual leap at all. It is a title challenge built over 3 years of careful, deliberate planning. Edu even stated at the beginning of that period we would be competing in 22/23. It is an example of a well run club doing the right things.

1 - City have pretty much the same points as last season.

2 - Happens pretty much every season. Last season it was United, Spurs and Arsenal underperforming.

3 - We have had loads of injuries. Our first choice RB Tomiyasu has barely played, first choice LW Emile Smith Rowe has barely played, Partey has missed games, Nelson has been out a lot. And you cannot just dismiss Jesus, you fruitcake
How many games has Kane missed? Perisic, Dier, Hojberg, Lloris, Son etc??

4 - City beat Chelsea when we drew with Newcastle, played before we lost to United and beat Leicester when we drew with Southampton. When have they slipped up when we do??

5 - Hahaha, how desperate are you???

6 - We have been done over time and time again by VAR. Even Saturday we were denied a clear penalty. PGMOL even had to apologise for the United game.

We've lost Jesus for two months, Zinchenko has been out for more games than he has played. To say we've had it all our own way is not true. The Leicester comparison really doesn't hold true either let's remember we've won the league title 13 times we are a massive club, we are not some club that has never won it before.

Similar to when Leicester got themselves into a title race, I expect the officials to be swept along with the media narrative and an unfair amount of `benefit of doubt` to be heading Woolwich`s way.

We saw it with Leicester that year, endless soft penalties gifted for dives, their CB`s allowed to grab, hold and rugby tackle opposition attackers punishment free etc etc, nobody wanted to be the one to pour cold water on the fairy tale , and along with good luck with injuries and suspensions etc, it all added up to a PL title.

I can see the same happening with Woolwich.

That's 100% how it's going. All the penalty we have been awarded this season has helped us accumulate a massive total. Rugby tackles definitely going unpunished. Big summer signings playing games for us.

Playing against an Everton side getting used to new tactics under Dyche rather than playing against a side used to Lampard's methods.

The stars are aligning for everything to go our way.
