Just back from the game, not read back through the comments will just say WTF was that from Fred
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Basically I was psychic and predicted both the depressing night, conceding first and the comeback.
Fred is known to be like that. I honestly think only Man Utd can muller teams and make it look impossible to win. Sort of reminded me of the Omonia game at OT, the chances kept coming and going.
BTW I know we won that Omonia game. Also it is so annoying seeing teams who get battered get praised. Leeds were completely outplayed, tactically inept and basically scored a goal early in both halves and mullered for the rest of it.

Yeah they hit the post from a freekick Fred I believe gave away.
Honestly can’t believe how many big chances we had. It must be the most big chances we had at home in a premierleague game.
We missed like 6 sitters, Leeds basically had one chance saved bu De Gea 1st half and a freekick 2nd half and the 2 goals, one which we scored.

Honestly think these players deserve weekly fines for missing so many chances. We are nearly every year top of the big chances missed even though we struggle to score.😂 Usually teams who score a lot are near the top of the big chances missed.

Their xG was 0.7 (ours was 2.03) so they don't create much, their claim for a pen was for an infringement outside the box. The biggest claim for a red in the game was Firpo's late tackle on Bruno after already being booked.

Pure knowledge of the high-end market
Earl is on the wind up if he thinks Leeds deserved anything. It actually sort of reminded me of us under Ole, we drew 2-2 against Burnley after we mullered them the whole game and conceded 2 goals out of the blue but as we kept creating so many chances we scored 2 lateish goals to draw and had chances to still win it.
I think that was a game that ended our winning run and it was the most one sided.
Two sucker punch goals. What a let down today. Oh well, get the 3 points at Elland Road
Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag: "Mixed feelings. Of course in the end we were happy to win a point - but we dropped two points. It’s a very bad start, unacceptable, especially in a derby you have to be ready to battle and take responsibility. We didn't do that."
Did the quick start surprise the players? "It looked like it but not me. [We knew] they will go aggressive, front foot, against a team on a good run they'll try to get into duels and that's what they did.
"We created great chances. Garnacho twice. Sabitzer. The header of Raphael. At half-time we had to equalise. If you start the second half the same as the first half you make it really difficult.
"I have to complement the team and resilience to fight back. We made two great team goals.
On bringing Jadon Sancho on: "I wanted a different dynamic. In that moment we weren't in the game. Luckily it succeeded because we scored two goals. Very happy. He's all the way back. We know he's a magnificent player. I think consistently he can have a big impact. But he has to work hard. It will motivate him to get more. I really enjoyed it, especially for him. It will strengthen him.
"If you play a derby you need a different attitude. You have to start and be ready and take responsibilty, win your battles and be composed on the ball."
"You can say we won a point because when you are in a derby and come back from 2-0 down it is good. But on the other hand when you start a derby like we did it's unacceptable. You have to be ready to fight and we weren't ready for the battle.
"It was my first remark at half-time, to take care and make sure we were ready and we weren't so that was really disappointing straight after half-time to concede that goal.
"Of course it will encourage us for when we play the second game in a couple of days that if we play our game, we can beat them. We have to beat them. But you need composure all the time. In the last 20 minutes when it was 2-2 we created so many chances but the finishing was not always that good. We have to be more clinical."
On Marcus Rashford playing centrally again next game: "First of all this game we will analyse and reflect then we will see how the team is and pick the starting XI."
On Jadon Sancho's impact: "I'm very happy for him. Of course also for the team because it's all about that. But it will encourage him and motivate him further. He is in the right direction and if he keeps going with that process he can do even more to really help us to achieve our goals."
Playing Leeds again: "We knew before how they would play with attitude and style. We didn't know what system they would play but you have to be ready and read the game. You have to anticipate it. Definitely you have to win your battles. That is for everyone to take the responsibility. If you win those individual battles, you will win this game."

Doesn’t sound like Leeds did much, aside from the goals.
Face it - you were slow out if the blocks and got punished. Any manager should know we always start like that.
We hit the post and had chances to go three up.
Rashford scored a great header but our keeper should have saved your second.
Apart from that I think he saved maybe one or two other chances but overall we deserved that point.
I’ll be there to see us take all three on Sunday 👍

I watched it and we did plenty. Your keepers finger tips kept it 0-1 at had time. Then we went 2 up, hit the post and had one or two other chances.
As for red cards - your defender knew exactly what he was doing when he kicked Bamford in the face. Disgraceful and VAR let him get away with it.
You came back well though and deserved the point in the end.

They didn't. When the fan above says they hit the post and had other chances to go three up, what he really means is they hit the post and didn't have any other chances he can recall, outside of the goals. Hence the 0.7 xG.
Let's be honest, when a smaller club plays a bigger one, any result they get will always be described as "deserved." When the reality is, if you watch that game and don't know which team is which you'll feel the team in red really should have won. But they didn't, so we wait til Sunday
