Never really been bothered by that issue - if we won the league for the next 10 years and rangers won both cups for the next ten years - I would argue we were the most successful in the country despite trailing by 13 trophies or thereabouts.

Im just more shocked that the turnaround has been so quickly.

I think at the start of the decade it was around 30ish? behind.

Yes. As league cup didn't come in until mid 1940s Celtic have I think always been ahead on cups and were for a time a few league titles ahead until Struth years

I think that's it. It simply changes from it being a Rangers boast to effectively a title belt being passed back and forth

When I say back and forth I mean Celtic take it and never lose it

If Celtic catch up and we end up with a scenario where Celtic have won more domestic trophies than Rangers.....does that then make you lot the "establishment" club that get everything going their way...and we can finally see the back of this victim mentality pi$h yous keep spouting?

Another wikipedia search as I skive suggests Celtic led or were tied at worst for most honours until 1938/39 season when it became 34 each. 19 Leagues and 15 cups for Celtic and Rangers on 24 Leagues and 10 Cups.

Celtic held league lead from 1894-1929. Rangers held lead from 1930- and Cup Celtic have led since 1907.

It would be a first in my lifetime and it was my mate who initially said why Rangers were panicking so much.

Glasgow Cups would mess it up but since they aren't being counted as part of current situation I opted to ignore but I suspect fans from that time would have viewed it as holding a fair bit of prestige
