Nketiah: The same two weeks in a row.

Nketiah is absolute crap. I don't know why anyone expects better from him. He's a championship level player. Wouldn't even start for the bottom three.

Martinelli is the most over rated player out there. He's a good impact sub but that's it. Never beats his man, constantly runs with his head down.
All he does is run down the line with the ball and then runs out of ideas. And then he gives away 70% of his possession. Can't believe how high people rate the kid.

I don’t think Nketiah is “absolute crap”, it’s just at the very highest level he’s just not good enough.

I still have high hopes for Martinelli, but right now I think Trossard is ahead of him.

Would agree about Nketiah but definately not about Martinelli. You have to look at the setup he's got no full back overlapping to make space for him, no Jesus who drifts to the left at times. Arteta obviously wants Zinchenko to be doing what he's doing but it's meaning the left handside is not functioning from an attacking point of view.

Jesus is certainly better against low blocks.

Nketiah has had to play every game since the restart. He's obviously tired and is struggling a bit. 'Fans' calling him sheite after a few off games are ridiculous plastics

This zinchenko in MF needs to be scrapped now.

It's been figured out

It's not about tiredness you can see his movement and link up play is not where it needs to be. He's scored a few goals fair play to him but his all round game just isn't at the level required if your gonna play for a team that's going to win the league. We need Jesus back as soon as possible.

We should buy Ivan Toney

Doesn't suit the way we play. All the issues he caused today were route one balls down the middle, we don't play that way.

not for Man City, he should play

Jesus has much more to his game than nketiah, that’s what we’re missing up there, especially in games like today. Nketiah is probably a better finisher than Jesus, but Jesus fits our general play better. Nketiah generally isn’t quite the right player for how we’d ideally want to play, and he can’t really adapt his game when things aren’t going his way.

Calling him crap is over the top, he won’t be a top level player, but can certainly be useful in the right set up.

What Arteta was doing right in the first part of the season was rotating Tierney and Zink or subbing either of them for the other after 60ish mins. He seems to have stopped doing that.

Today and Everton looks like we needed a Tierney instead of a Zinchkenko.

The goal conceded today was ridiculous, it was a Sunday league goal - Adams, Keown, Campbell - they deal with that free kick today or one of the 3 subsequent aerial duels.

I don’t think you can begrudge the result though - Brentford looked well worth their point today

I thought Zinchenko was excellent again, I don't see him as the problem, we didn't have ANYBODY on the field who looked like they could beat a player - with the possible exception of Saka.
I thought Trossard made a difference when he came on - not sure what is happening with Martinelli, I don't see Zinchenko with him as a problem, the truth is one on one Martinelli is just not going past people.

I thought zinchenko was poor today, his distribution in attack wasn’t up to his usual standards, quite a few misplaced crosses and simple passes. Not digging him out too much because he did well other in his other jobs, but some of his game was missing today. Bit of a mix of an off day and him getting figured out.

The left wasn’t functioning well at all today, been a bit of a pattern of the last couple games. Need to try something different there. Tiereny or Trossard should get a go to mix it up a bit, we’ve got this squad depth for moments such as this

You are correct, it was ridiculous. Ridiculous that two offsides were ignored by Lee "Manc" Mason.

We were very comfortable up to that point as well. Brentford played well in the 1st half but in the 2nd half it was all us and only one team deserved to win the game and that was us.
