I’d even settle for 0-4
I think it will be a similar approach to the City game and ETH will go with his strongest XI available.
At 5.45 I'll be glued to this one but I'll be honest I'm struggling to get over excited for it.
I know it's Barca but it's also a Europa last 16 qualifier.
If someone offered me the following and said you can only pick 3, I'm picking the first 3 and in that order:
Carabao cup win
6 points in our next 2 league games
FA Cup 5th round win
Winning the Barca tie
Park the bus. Take home 0-0 draw or a narrow loss. Live another day. Win at the weekend and next weekend
Our path this season will become much clearer in the next couple of weeks.

Moans that we plated crap even when we win. Advocates parking the bus in game that's important for our season.
You really are a pr@ arent you?
Even though I would be dissapointed should Barca knock us out i wouldn't be as upset as i usually would be. I'd be fairly chilled about it in all honesty. Priority for me is getting back into the CL (i know a Europa win can do that also) and focussing on domestic cups.
We dont have the squad and the Thursday/Sunday will soon de rail us.

Agreed. The way things are looking I think it would take a disastrous final 15 league games for us not to make top 4 now but possibly going deep in the Europa could massively hinder our league form.
Martinez will be a huge miss tonight. As will Eriksen to help us keep the ball.
If we go through the tie then great but if we don't I won't lose any sleep over it. Why? Because top 4 looks very much on for us anyway.

What a champion of mediocrity
T'en Hag wants to win every game, and so do I.
I would play Warhorse as a number 10 as in the last half hour at Leeds. I would start with Garnacho too, and Rashy of course.
I think we have a real opportunity in the domestic cups. Obviously the Carabao as we are in the final but like in the Carabao the Fa Cup has opened up too with many big teams going out early.
In comparison the Europa has the strongest teams in it that I can ever remember.
It’s a European tie against Barça.
You go full strength in these kind of matches, otherwise what’s even the point of the sport.

In truth the only thing I'm worried about because of this tie is the final v Newcastle. We could really do with winning a trophy soon IMO. It's the final being so close to everything else that's putting a bit of doubt in my mind.
Funnily enough though the recent injuries and suspensions may help in a way by giving some of our key players a bit of a rest at this vital times. I did look at minutes played last week and not many have played more than 75% (If I recall) so hopefully there should be plenty left in the tank. It's just that I really want to beat Newcastle and win a trophy!
True but the LC final against Newcastle complicates things a little. If we play a full strength side in the second leg and go for it then it will 100% have an effect on our ability to win a trophy 3 days later.

That's my main worry at present. I'm not that worried about games coming thick and fast though. That's what it's all about. It's just that final coming on a Sunday after a potentially tiring second leg that's worrying me slightly.
Having said that this is far preferable to the alternative where we're out of everything early.
The league cup
Who cares about that, this is streets above any domestic trophy
Yeah it’s my only concern. Knocking out Barca and winning the league cup would both be a big boost to the squad, I think the chances of doing both are incredibly slim and winning the cup is more doable.

Is it though?
You guys enjoyed winning the League Cup last season, I know I did when we won it in 2017.
The Europa League win means more if you aren't going to get CL football through the league. Again, while I enjoyed winning it in 2017 it was more about CL the next season than the actual trophy.
Winning the Carabao gets the monkey off of our back and is of equal importance to the Europa as long as we get top 4.
There’s always people that claim we shouldn’t be bothered about certain games or competitions, then proceed to moan all game if we play shiyte or get knocked out.
Forget all this diafol , stage 1 of your alternative prediction is complete. Looking forward to us lifting the league trophy!
I don’t think tiredness comes into cup finals, you get through on pure adrenaline.
