It's just a funny narrative that everyone must be somehow 'scared' of this 'behemoth' jeez. Just buy Neymar already and shutup
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah it’s cringe. Especially when you consider the cuuuuunts that are looking to buy it.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Surely the Ineos offer is the one the fans should be hoping for? They’re the ones with vast experience of running sports organisations, and their figurehead is originally from Manchester isn’t he?
….
The problem is, the debt is a real sore point and the talk from INEOS last night that no ‘fresh’ debt will be placed on the club just won’t go down well.
But yes, I would still prefer them over Qatar.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Think a lot of people have misinterpreted that from what I read.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Possibly. I presume any debt would be included in the price? Still, any talk of borrowing is always going to worry Utd fans I guess.
Yes and they have said that any funds they use for borrowing would be put on Ineos rather than the club. Should really be that for everyone.
Anyone buying the club, unless they have a personal wealth of the tens of billions, will borrow in some way to purchase it. It’s a question of where the risk for that sits that’s the important thing.
I’m probably wrong on this but shouldn’t it be on the Glazers to wipe out the debt out of whatever price they get for the club? Otherwise they’ve just come in, put debt on the club in order to cover the purchase, then leave with all the sale money whilst leaving the club and new owner with the debt created by themselves.
The agreed price will include the debt being paid off I would imagine.
Once the masterpiece of English football now a sportswashing vehicle for dictatorships and brutal regimes. RIP
If they rely solely on legit club income there's nothing to fear and we will fight you on the beaches.
And if they dope you up then your success will mean fack all.
So I don't see what exactly there is to be terrified about. You've been the richest club for ages and outspend everyone except City already and you've done fack all for 10 years now.
So long as they follow the rules and don't cheat like the City owners, rely solely on club income, then there's nothing to fear for a club like Liverpool. We already spend hundreds of millions less than you in the transfer windows.
But we know that won't happen. Soon you'll have their cousins sponsoring you for tens of millions each. This is the end of Man Utd as we know it.
Can't believe there's so little furore about it from fans tbh.
