Really? You think that is offside? Rashford literally shielded the ball from Akanji and wasn't given offside but you think someone standing nowhere near the path of the ball is offside?

Awful decision. May as well just make offsides that the offside player has to touch the ball at this point, as they can't get it right.

And they came out and said it would now be given as offside, ie. they got it wrong.
Remember when Salah was a mile off and scored vs Wolves? Eddie is nowhere near the ball nor blocking Shartinez's view yet here you are crying
Fack off TooR you absolute priiiick.
Howard Webb - ""I think if that exact circumstance happens again you would probably see a different outcome".
"We speak to other associations - be it the LMA, PFA, clubs. We speak to league execs, our officials. We discuss these situations and tweak things as we go.
"I think the issue with that one is Rashford followed the ball for quite some distance and got really close."
"And in general terms he probably impacted either Akanji or the goalkeeper in those circumstances, and I think that's why the game expects it to be offside."

Yes I remember clearly when it followed the laws of the game and the Wolves player made a deliberate attempt to play the ball, meaning Salah wasn't classed as offside.
You can't just make the laws up.
Although in my view it's a stupid rule as the Wolves player can let the ball go if Salah isn't there.

I didn't. I was going by the laws. If the offside player blocks the view of the goalkeeper, it's offside.
Law 11 - Offside.
"An attacker in an offside position (A) is obstructing the goalkeeper's line of vision. He must be penalised because he prevents an opponent from playing or being able to play the ball."

Cool, so we have established Nketiah wasn't in the keepers line of vision and now you post a rule that says you have to be in the line of vision.

We did? Only evidence I have seen is of a photo showing him in the keepers' line of vision so not sure how we established he wasn't in his line of vision. Although open to seeing your evidence where you think we established that.

Because the law states you're offside if you're in the line of view of the goalkeeper and the photo appears to show two Arsenal players potentially in the line of view of the goalkeeper.
I never saw the incident as I turned off at 92 minutes so don't know if it's clever timing and angle of the photo and there's a better photo showing this incorrect but according to the photo I've seen, according to the laws it's offside.
I guess Arteta got his two points back he was complaining about.
I thought he was very gd against City aswell. Always positive playing through balls every opportunity he could. 12 mill is a steal. Underrated player
Been our best player in his 2 games he's started.
Shame rest of the team went off the boil though but we hanging in at the top.

He's much more suited to Arsenal's style than Chelsea's. This could be a masterstroke at the low fee you paid.
You don't have a squad good enough to go the distance(although neither did Leicester and they still did it so there's still a chance) but Arteta is doing an excellent job and building something. A few excellent young players, bringing in experience like Jorginho, just to work on a few players who shouldn't be starting for a title challenging team and backups on the bench.
I hope I'm wrong about this season but even with City's erratic form, I dont think so.
Just saw the goal, with a few replays. Never offside.
Jorginho had a great game. But I still stand by my opinion that he is NOT a DM. Aston Villa are not a physical side but that midfield that played yesterday would be overrun by physical teams or even more technical teams like we saw with Man City in the second half.
So no..Jorginho is NOT what we need to push/compete with Partey. Maybe with Xhaka. He had a great game but we need a CDM who is at the Partey level or better (or has the potential to be that).
