Ancelotti everytime he’s played us under Klopp has played a counter attacking set up which has worked well.

Vini v Trent is a key battle, but also Nunez is needed for his pace up against Carvajal. He always brings something to a game, be it good or bad but if he is fit you know something is bound to happen.

I reckon he might go Matip with VVD. Also wouldnty be surprised to see either Fab or BadgerTits benched.

I put Gomez in for his pace Vs Vini in support of TAA.

We need to play a very high tempo game. Osasuna yesterday had a very good pressing trap. They forced them to build up from their left hand side and the moment Rudiger had the ball he was pressed which made him going for the long ball. If we do this we need defenders who are good in the air and the midfield to win the second balls. Matip would be the better option for this tactic but on the other hand Gomez is the better defender to cover on that side 1v1 against Vinicius.

I'd regrain from doing what they did. They lost. We need to play our own game and go to Madrid with an advantage, where we can then worry about what they do.

That's not my point though. It's about tactics out of possession and how to get the ball without allowing them to pass it to their great midfielders. You don't want them involved in the build up phase.

We will see Tuesday. The video analysis team will have provided enough footage to Klopp.

mo salah can want what he wants. he's on the slide and will be eaten alive by this lot.
