He leads the assists and chance creation list by a margin and has 4 goals. Granted Bukayo is better than him overall but he is still the best midfielder in the league.

Perhaps I’m being harsh because of his ability, but doesn’t feel like the standout pick this season for me.

But it’s an age old debate about a world class player playing okay vs someone else playing out of their skin.

This

Think some City players and Liverpool to be fair get judged by ridiculous standards. Salahs figures in a Newcastle shirt would get him in the Team of the year.

if you're putting a rb and lb in then yh, theyve not had much compettition tbf. depends if formation and line ups matter. It would be justifiable for example to leave both rb and lb out adding toney/martinez?

Alisson
Martinez Mee Silva
Saka Odegaard Rodri Almiron
Haaland Toney Rashford

Fair point, but I think particularly Trippier’s influence on the team would warrant ensuring his inclusion.

yh i think trippier improves those around him, got that exp etc in a way i definitely give him credit for that. he took them up a level along with pope.

posted on 19/2/23

big reasons theyve only been beaten twice this season and by one team only. and prob have one of the better defensive records if not the.

posted on 19/2/23

Kane walks into any team of the season.
