Got cancelled about 13 hours before I was due to fly out there for it. Absolutely gutted but it was the correct decision.

Formula 1 is back

I think for once Monaco might be one of the better GPs this year. Red bull are unmatched on the high speed circuits but the slower tracks may bring Aston and Ferrari into play.

Mercedes will be in the mix, if their raft of upgrades works for Monaco and they magically become fast in the slow corners.
They've come with a new suspension, chassis and side pods. Zero pods is no more.

Not the track merc will be wanting data from upgrades. Also not the track for bringing upgrades that are costly to replace if you end up in the wall.

Yep, not ideal brining updates to Monaco (they intended to test them at Imola) but needs must.
Monaco is a front limited track, so new suspension geometry is good data to carry forward at the very least.

Their new floor and suspension could be the key to gaining mechanical grip and lap time over rivals.
Anything that is a step forward at this point is good news for them, going forward into the more representable tracks where their performance will really show.

Ehh... close enough!

Verstappen resorting to wallbanging in the final sector to get pole. Was quite a long way past the limit but it still worked.

On the absolute limit, great pole
