Dead666 embarrassing himself once again, dopey twaaaat

posted on 2/3/23

Weggy, at present, is doing a job and if that's good enough for ETH it's good enough for me.

What I think it shows is Erik's flexibility as a manager and also his insistence on a good work ethic. I'd imagine Weggy is a very popular member of the squad too.

Very view from what I’ve seen, definitely not enough to make a point of it like you have. It’s a strange point to make when hardly anyone (if anyone) thinks that.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
There has been fella! My point is valid after a couple of exchanges I had when he first arrived! 👍

So now you’re talking about what some fans thought when he first arrived and hadn't even played for us yet?

If people think the Carthorst is what we need up top then you really need to look in the mirror!

..:.

Not one person has said this as far as I have seen. So why are you being an utter knobber.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Some people have been waxing lyrical about him since he walked through the door
--------------------------------------------------------------------

Would like to see examples of posters waxing lyrical about the player

You've had a mare here. This isn't what you suggested at all. You originally spoke in the present tense and instead of accepting that it was a stupid thing to say, you're doubling down and looking worse as a result.

You suggested that people are currently saying he's "what we need up top". Who? Where? I haven't seen this at all. At best I've seen people accept that he's doing a temporary job and doing what he's asked to do well. But more than this, I've seen peolle moan about him not being good enough etc. Not seen one person say he should start for us past May though.

Be honest, you just made it up because you're a negative Nancy, didn't you?

I don’t, he’s not a striker. And he’s look every bit as ineffective for Chelsea as he has everywhere else, save for a purple patch at Benfica.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah I don’t see it with Felix either. Pretty on the eye, but never seems to make the difference. Hope we don’t splurge on him and go for a proper number 9 instead.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He’s a classic case of a player that looks good without actually doing anything. If he played for United he’d be getting crucified by the same people that loathed Pogba, who was an infinitely more effective player.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Felix is a one-in-five player. Before the season is out, he’ll put in two or three superb performances people will be creaming over, whilst delivering a six out of ten performance every other week.

Despite all the very real promise, that’s been his career since he left Benfica.

Simeone has to be largely responsible, IMO. Lump it in with his other war crimes.

What are you doing here? Why are you so upset at something so incredibly mundane?

And yet me going on about something so mundane has clearly upset you! How odd!

His best game yet, no doubt... He was on it from the start and his footballing intelligence is more apparent by the game.

If he gets his shooting boots on too (which he is capable of) then i'd be more than happy to see him stay as part of the squad.

His joy is infectious too and kind of sums up how we all feel, right now!

Weren’t you creaming your pants over Felix when he broke through at Benfica Darren? I guess moving to a Simeone side at that age is gonna ruin most players potential.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He was a joy to watch at Benfica, tbf.

On that note, having raked in £200m on Núñez and Martinez, and with Gonçalo Ramos (£105m release clause) being tracked by numerous clubs including United and Arsenal, the next one being talked about here is Antonio Silva (19 year old centreback from Viseu).

Real Madrid ready to meet his £90m release clause this summer apparently

No idea how the cants do it.

It’s unreal how much Benfica have made from player sales.

posted on 2/3/23

Probably from his YouTube videos. I always overhype players that have flair, even if I don’t know whether they are actually any good. Did the same with Antony.

Yeah he should be sent to the Hague.

He is hardworking and tall (though, egregious in the air).

He is ok...at best.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
If they manage to unload Ramos and Silva for even close to their release clauses this summer, they’ll have done (potentially well) over £350m in sales from just four players in just over twelve months.

That’s around twice their average total annual revenue from all other sources

The next one might be another academy product: a midfielder called João Neves they’re also talking a lot about here. I think he might have been a part of the UEFA Youth League winning side.
