Fox isn’t news, it’s not even close to it.

I was kinda ignorant of USA media TV outlets until Trump came about but spent a while watching and listening to them after he cam in, Fox is horrific and Carlson their Bastirt spawn, along with a few others on the channel I wonder how they get away with what they spout?

Dont get me wrong little of what I watched or listened to was "balanced" but they were by a distance unbelievable

Hopefully when it comes to penalising them in court, they get a hefty fine to the voting machine company, but are also forced to air how they lied and also have a disclaimer before every opinion segment.

I've no doubt most of their audience will do mental gymnastics to still believe what they want, but at least some might think twice.

I can think of a few others who have been spreading misinformation for years about a different topic that we are all very familiar with, but I guess that’s a discussion for another day…

No. Arsenal really were shiiit.

Fox is disgracefully awful, Twitter (and FB) however is an utter cesspit. An unregulated cesspit filled with complete bollox and misinformation at every turn. I’m convinced social media is one of the worst things ever invented and is actually making people more stupid.

that probably even contributed towards the infamous Capitol attack in Jan 21.

There’s no probably about it.

Don't disagree but you are choosing this social media to put out that message...?

Erm...is it about fox sports news? Their NFL coverage is decent.
Isn't this is a football board?

Indeed, but I don’t class this as SM like Twitter and fB, this is more like an old school message board/forum.?it’s a bit different though probably still is SM. It has none of the targeting algo’s, design philosophy to keep you scrolling etc.

I’m more worried about our own Fox News - GB News. They had a woman on there the other day claiming that 58% of women in the Pfizer trials who became pregnant had a miscarriage. She then, in a comment hidden on Twitter admitted she was completely wrong. The actual rate was completely normal for baseline.

But the damage is done, the idiots believed it and spread it far and wide. It wasn’t a mistake.

I think if someone willingly tunes into GB news, they’d lost the battle with intelligence a very long time ago. How did they spread it far and wide though? Twitter probably

It doesn't surprise me in the slightest, but I'm curious to know.

It all has a knock on effect though. If unchecked it leads to Trump getting in power, disbanding NATO and then Europe is a more dangerous place without the security that it offers. Fox News allows the seeds in which Fascism can thrive and religious fundamentalism to gain credibility.

Marjorie Taylor Greene is calling for civil war. And that has huge ramifications for the world we live in.

Just looked at it now. Jordan Peterson and Elon Musk both commented on it, hence the 'far and wide'

I hadn't heard of Tina Peers, but it's not surprising to see Naomi Wolf's name in there. Or 'jikkyleaks'.

I try not to spend much time on Twitter now as I just find these idiots so profoundly depressing.

Yes, I forgot that the actual owner of twitter emphasised it. Fantastic.
