Im 30 this year and spurs have won 2 league cups in my life. I’m getting married in May and the mrs is an Arsenal fan. They are likely gonna win the league on our wedding day. I’m in Spain without the S.

Wow. Hard luck mate.

Every chance she might be crying on your shoulder dude, as we know how Arsenal bottled 4th with 4 points advantage only season gone

Make sure you have enough tissues between you two

I would absolutely take a trophy over T4 but that's always been my stance.

Its absolutely killed the season and I can’t give a fack anymore.

I feel exactly the same at this moment but know I will be booking time off work for our next game or rushing around to make sure I see it. Over the years I have spent fecking thousands and thousands on going to games including european games. Dont go as often now but still spend a lot of money on sky etc. even tho I know its a waste of money I cant seem to stop. I think I would rather be addicted to gambling or something

Neutral from afar but I've no time for all the pash about treating some competitions as less important than others, some games as less important than others. That is a loser's mindset and gets in the heads of some players that it is OK not to win which is never OK. Go all out in all competitions. Weed out the weak players for whom that is all too much. By all means analyse the stats and give a select few an occasional rest but not 6 or 7 at once. Slippery slope.

A player that wants to win every game wants to play every minute of every game.

But if the club priotises one competition over another and selects players accordingly, not much they can do

I dont care about trophies or even top 4.
The thing that kills me is boredom of watching us play.
Utter sheet.

For me, not winning a trophy is not a disaster as it is not easy and usually requires a fair bit of luck.

However, to fail to win a trophy having been beaten so feebly by both Forest (Carabao) and Sheff Utd leaves a very bad feeling where, like the OP, I can barely give a feck.

Cups vs Top 4 is always Heart vs Head.

Cups are the pinnacle of joy in football and as a club we have been starved of this joy.

Top4 is thing that makes financial sense, the thing that sees us make and spend more money, attract and keep better players. Success here usually means the chances of success in cups is increased, for obvious reasons.

While now the heart aches after such a shiiiit showing last night, the head will take over and all will come to realise the importance and joy that securing UCL football next season will do for us.

But right now we're grieving!

With Maurinho, Nuno and now Conte there is not a lot of entertainment value

That's my point! Prioritising one over another breeds complacency and 'if the club don't give a sh.t why should I' attitude. Now it is setting in with fans! A vicious circle going down the plug hole. Set out to win every competition. Treat it as a disaster to lose.

You tried with Jose but missed his serial winner phase or maybe even ground even him down. Stems from the top but you know that. Giving autonomy to a manager scares the sh.t out your CEO. So hires guys that re grateful and do as they are told. Getting rid ENIC the only way forward. Hit them where it hurts. Make it toxic. Pu$$y footing around goes nowhere.

Coming 4th should mean nothing to Spurs Fans If Levy and Co are not actually goonna use that extra revenue to improve the squad season upon season. Scraping into 4th and then failing to address the glaring issues in the squad in the world's best quality competition is so typical; of Levy..... Personally, I'd take 17th and a trophy every time over 4th.

The clubs desire to put 4th place above everything else has left fans disillusioned and the clubs best player for multiple generations looking for the exit... Its sad

It's the result of a club trying to do things on the cheap in a sport/ industry that's dripping with money

While I enjoyed going on Sunday and beating Chelsea I didn't book my seat for the Milan game as I don't really like the football we're playing.

I'll be there for the Forest game,I'm meeting mates I haven't seen for ages and it's a 3pm game on a Saturday so will have a few beers.

I've been all over the country and Europe watching us and have never regretted it.

Our away support is fantastic and i really feel for those who went last night, the Manager and the players let them down badly and don't deserve the backing they get.

The longer this trophy drought carries on the more I value winning one over getting top 4. Getting top 4 means little to me this season now and is only a small consolation.

I do however think we can do the double and avoid top 4 and a trophy!

It comes to a point where u just need to get the monkey off your back and just secure a trophy anyhow you get.

Arsenal went 10 years without 1 and all were heard was trophy less ect while we were still getting top 4.

In 10 years time no-one will care that you came 4th 5 years in a row however if you get a trophy that will always be on the records.

Top 4 is good for the money men but if they dont spend it means nothing.

Ask Sandy...I've been predicting 6th place.
Looking good!
