You'll still win it imo.

PL maybe gone

You're five points behind and have Arsenal at home, with thirty-six points to play for.

The players do this every season, they're used to it. Although tonight showed that Arsenal aren't going away without a fight, City will still win it, in my opinion. Although I hope Arsenal do it, I just can't see them holding on.

City have got the experience but at the moment they are the ones that are holding on they know right now we've our wobble, they cant afford to drop anymore points to stay in contention. It's in our hands that's where you want to be, we keep winning there's nothing City can do.

Said a while ago, it’ll need the performance levels of us to step up a fair bit and them to drop off too for us to have a chance. I do think both of those things have actually happened, just not enough.

Plenty of games left yet though and I don’t overly mind Arteta winning, at least it puts to bed the argument Peps football can only win with the best players

I still think the game at home to us, mixed with your experience of putting together incredible runs to claw teams back, probably still has you as the favourites.

We do keep managing to find answers whenever tested though, so it does have that sort of 'our year' feeling about it at the moment, but things can change so much in football. Hell, in the space of ten minutes I went from thinking we'd blown it to thinking it might just be our year

I think they’ll drop points soon. Can’t maintain pulling results off like they have in recent games - just as we couldn’t when we were doing it earlier in the season. Lots of football left to play, question is, whether we drop more too.

You have to give Arsenal credit for getting wins against Villa and Bournemouth with late goals.

Long way to go and a few more twists and turns.

Although winning last min goals are fun and shows character, a team that’s gonna win the title shouldn’t really go 2 goals down at home to one of the worst teams in the league. 12 games to go, and I don’t know if Arsenal got the defensive structure to hold on.

Every season the exact same cliches are said from fans. That’s not a dig, but rather that every single season produces the exact same possibilities as the ones that have gone before. There are only so many after all.

I’m just enjoying the ride. As always. All this talk of “it’s in our hands”, or “team A had the experience”, or “team b has the advantage”, “teams who won the title don’t go two goals down at home” (that last one is a pile of bull and the person who said it should hang their head in shame)

Just enjoy the ride guys. It’s what makes league football what it is.

Good point/question.

It’s easy for some to frown upon the 2 come back wins Arsenal have had against Bournemouth and Villa but that exactly what we had to do in the last 2 games last season.

I agree with the OPs overall point that I think Arsenal have had their dip already and when we regained our form we shouldn’t have dropped points at Nottingham.

I thought Arsenal were very complacent yesterday and expected an easy win. Having said that, still too many games to play and the same emotional outpouring that happened at the Emirates yesterday after the last minute win is exactly the same emotional rollercoaster that Arsenal will go through when they drop points.

This is exactly like the Liverpool Brendon Rodgers season. Every game is now a cup final , every minute is now a roller coaster for Arsenal and it’s unsustainable.

I believe we can only afford to lose one more and draw one more as long as we can beat Arsenal. That means I think Arsenal will still drop another 7 points between now and the end of the season. Don’t ask me where I think Arsenal will drop those points because I have no clue and they are that good I think they can still go to Anfield and Newcastle and win. It tends to be the games you think will be easy.

The point is can City make up that point difference.

Still a lot to play for but this young team already has achieved so much this season. We overachieved no doubt about that. No one can take that away from us. Arsenal Football Club is back.

Arsenal are going to rest 7/8 midweek in Europa. They are going to fully focus on the title and who could blame them.

City having to juggle the FA cup and CL too won't make it any easier.

I have been saying City would win it all season but it does seem like Arsenal's name is written on the trophy this year.
