Add it to the VERY long list of other sh11te that's going up and when aggregated it all makes things like footy more of an unaffordable luxury for many.

They'll look at the waiting list and know that those who drop out will easily be covered by new applicants.

Not fully related, if and when 49ers Enterprises takes
Over, I hope they make expanding the stadium’s capacity a priority. Seems we could almost guarantee
50,000 every home game if ground was seen to.

29% APR, what a joke

Putting the price up is logical with such a massive waiting list… law of economics…. If you’re not prepared to pay, move aside. Someone else will take your place.

Football ain’t for the fans, it’s a business, like it or not.

Neither should it be kept ‘affordable’ …why should it
be? What other businesses do that?

Too many people feel they’ve got a right to a season ticket just cos they’ve had them for years. Why? What about new fans and youngsters growing up with no chance of getting to see the team? If you’ve have a ticket for years, maybe it’s time to move aside and let others have a go??

Lot of selfish people…. Me me me…. Way of the world …. Sense of entitlement.

Controversial and never gonna happen, but you could argue that a fairer way to balance fan demand would be to scrap annual season tickets and set up a system that gives all fans the opportunity to get tickets to, say, just 5 matches a year, then sell the rest based on demand. Just cos things have always been so don’t mean it should continue.

Living 200 miles away I might just them be able to get to Elland road 5 times a year which I did for 20 years before Bielsa came …. not got a ticket since… is that fair??

You mean those years we were in L1 and playing JPT against Bury in the winter? I actually think those fans who bought in year in, year out, are due a bit of loyalty in return yes. For 10 of those years i commuted from Bristol for every home game, including midweek, so I've lived that too. Maybe the selfish are those who couldn't be bothered for years, who now want changes to how you get in now we're at the top table? Not saying that's you - you'll have you're own reasons - but many are now clambering when previously they didn't?

But I also accept that prices will go up and club is a business - no arguments there. Harsh perhaps, but realistic. My point is around the combination of other things going up ..... making life hard for many.

Yeah… was expecting that comment… the answer is … No…. there’s no such thing as loyalty in todays world anymore, so why should anyone expect it? Get real. Can’t live life looking backwards… what’s gone is gone. Deal with today as it is. If we get relegated and lose fans… the club should deal with that and recut their cloth accordingly… if they stay in the Premiership and that’s means higher prices and a different ways of working, then do that 🤷‍♂️.
The past is irrelevant.

But there is loyalty.

People who have had season tickets, get cheaper tickets, because they buy in bulk and the club know they can rely on that cash.

peoole who go to more away games, get first dips, that right and fair. Am lucky, 42, and this is my 33 season ticket, I dont expect an away ticket for any game.

one of worst ideas, i’ve ever heard.

Would Kill the atmosphere, people go with the same people, week in week out, how do you decide who goes to the big matches and that.

Plus crowds would go down, if a club is just midtable at end of season, you wont fill it, if no season ticket holders.

Why is it fair…? What do we get on average…3/5000 tickets? Why can’t 3-5000 different people go ?… why always the same people? That’s not fair surely 🤷‍♂️

You got 22000 people waiting for a season ticket, plus ‘casuals’ ….. don’t talk rubbish about crowds going down

When it really boiled down to it, there was 17k fans showing up at one point when I think back, maybe around the time Cellino was boss, the hardcore.

Once club start doing well, plastics start coming back and they will leave in their flocks again if we get relegated, club need to be careful. There’s no loyalty from a lot of the fans at elland rd.

29% apr to pay instalments is just disgusting, used to be 0% when they were desperate for season ticket holders.

Just read the FAQ’s and it states 0% interest over six months with a £39.99 arrangement fee.

29% APR shows you how much they care about the fand

posted on 6/3/23

What about making the season ticket for say 15 games and free up a 4 game mini-season ticket for the waiting list…or build the 64,000 seat stadium that we need!

When we get relegated the glory hunters will disappear and it'll be back to the hardcore of 22,000

If you stopped the regulars going home and away the atmosphere would be absolutely shocking

It would be the death of us, end up being like every other soulless stadium in the PL

if the club eventually increase the capacity i dont think they will make many more season tickets available as they can make a lot more money selling on a match by match basis, think i read that Liverpool make £1500 per seat a season x 25000 thats a nice few quid.

posted on 8/3/23

If capacity gets significantly increased (hope it does it means more availability for fans), then I hope serious consideration is also given to infrastructure around the ground - i.e. parking/road network.

It's chaotic as it is for both these right now - throw another 10k fans in and there'll be some sense of humour failures ....
