Pochs team

I love how everyone is so convinced it’s gonna be Poch they’ve already called it his team. I’m not so sure. I’d love it to happen but I think Paratici and the other decision makers at Spurs are gonna twist Levy’s arm and go for someone else.

It would require some serious funds I admit , but if we could sell the dead wood it would be a good team

Are you Tim Sherwood in disguise?

If Hojberg is still in the team next season then we will have another crap season.

Simply nowhere near good enough. Control poor, passing abysmal, decision making crap and positioning appalling.

Off hand I cannot think of one good attribute that earns him a place in a top 10 team in the premiership.

Dreadful player

Totally agree, I find it strange that some people rate him highly. It is probably because he was relatively cheap, if he had cost £40m he would be getting pelters from everywhere.

Breaking news: Inter Milan have informally enquired about the availability of Conte according to Gary Jacob.

I'd be shocked if he went back to Inter. Juve are potentially in an even worse position with everything going on. Milan maybe? Any of them would be a step down in terms of pay and transfer chequebook.

I reckon he walks away (why would Levy pay him out with top 4 still on the cards?) at the end of the season and waits for something better. Like a return to Chelsea

We could do a lot worse than getting Thomas Frank & perhaps he can bring Ivan Toney with him (after his ban) to replace Kane ?

With that said, I'd be fine bringing Poch back..... anyone but Conte

The Antonio Conte era is coming to an end. Neither side wants a new deal. So what comes next? Tottenham don’t want a repeat of 2021. My piece looking at Pochettino, Tuchel and other possibles.

Spurs are determined that succession planning won’t start on 29 May but I think there’s (at least) two big questions here: will it be Levy or Paratici who chooses? And will it be a big name for right now or someone for a rebuild?

I'm not the biggest fan - I think he's never going to be more than a 7/10 player - but I'd rather have him as first pick than Skipp or Sarr just now. Both will overtake him soon enough, though. In an ideal world Spurs would have a better first pick than any of those.

The general feeling amongst #thfc is that Antonio Comte will leave at the end of the season. Some have grown tired of his intensity, training sessions and approach to the game. | @JackPittBrooke

The same old stuff everytime Z z z.

Poch worries me. As much as I love the man, he's barely worked since leaving us in 2019 and he didnt even win the league with PSG.

I would love to have what we had before with him, not least of all his Argentine passion and commitment.

But football moves on quickly. Lest we forget that in his final 6-9 months we really struggled to break teams down, the team stopped delivering and he couldnt fix it, the form was dreadful and if it wasnt for the UCL final the sustained really poor form would stand out much more.

Tuchel, while seeming like a decent bloke and good tactician, i fear he suffers the same dull football that Conte does. His Chelsea was flying when their wing backs were, but overall the approach is very similar to Conte, he just had better players

Sounds like the players don't fancy it. Again.

I'm all for bringing back Pochettino but so many of these players need clearing out. Perfect example of the importance of squad turnover. Ferguson understood this better than anyone. Look at Liverpool this season too (last result aside!)

Solid research there. He did win the league in his only full season there.

Also the reasons behind the downfall in his last season at Spurs are so well-established and so much more than just "he couldn't fix it"

FYI both Tuchel and Potter have rejected Spurs before.

Apparently Tuchel only wants Barca or Madrid.

I definitely don't want Tuchel. He's a good coach but I don't see him being any better a fit for Spurs than Mourinho or Conte. I think he and Levy would be a disastrous combination.

Potter I would take on paper. Didn't realise he actually rejected Spurs before. Do I remember reading he's an Arsenal fan?

Do your research before slagging off Poch Luka. He won the French Cup in his first season and then Ligue 1 in his second.

NEW: It is far from clear whether Fabio Paratici will select #thfc's next manager.

Even during the appointment of Antonio Conte, Paratici had little say and found out late in the process, with Daniel Levy driving that deal. | @TheAthleticFC

Fooking Levy man. He will choose the next man and get it wrong again as per.
