There's so much more to build an argument against Conte than any one of those you've listed. It's a combination of all of them but moreover it's that we've probably played well in only handful of games this season. Even when we've won, we've scraped by, turning defeat into victory with a great deal of belief but light on quality and more importantly, ambition. We've not turned one team over this year. Not really. Even those in transition, like Liverpool and Chelsea, when they're on it, can butcher sides. We never, ever do.

Then there's his attitude, where he publicly likes to preserve his own reputation by reminding the world of our frailties and our opposition's 'size and history', all despite the fact that Milan, for example, were assembled at a fraction of the cost of our team and sit lower down in an inferior league to us. He talks of fans needing patience without committing himself.

The absolute worst for me is the style though. It won't win us anything. I feel like we're further away than when we were playing front foot football under Poch.

The truth is that taking one of these issues in isolation is not enough to get rid of a manager but when you take into account the collective, the aggregation of marginal losses, if you will, then there's enough evidence to get rid.

I hope to god a repeat of last year's run in doesn't prompt Levy to push for a new deal. I can't take it anymore Conte-ball.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

The thing is, getting 4th place 2 seasons running with the central defensive options of Dier/Romero/Davies/Lenglet/Sanchez/Tanganga is an absolute feat.

Throw in that Royal was poor for half a season, Doherty poor, “club signing” not good enough and it’s even more of a feat.

Add in 1 of our 2 world class players being atrocious this year and it’s even more of a feat.

Finally add in our long serving keeper starting to look his age and become error prone and overall it will be a miracle.

That’s what you’re up against Fridge - getting Levy to ditch a guy who will potentially get us 4th two years running - it’s all Levy cares about. Additionally, if there are fans against Conte and wanting him out, it quite nicely deflects some of the detractors away from Levy himself - win win for our Daniel.

You need to hope we don’t finish 4th or more likely Conte tells the bald khunt where to go in the summer and joins a club trying to win things like Kane.

Couldn't give a sh*t about Arsenal. Whilst gooners think t is already won, clearly they are up against a team with a better squad and about a million times more experience of doing what it takes to win the title. At this moment in time they have won jack sh*t.

No, it has to be the Sheffield Utd game. Mainly the team selection and the total lack of motivation / energy throughout the game. Yes the two Manchester clubs are still in it, but a home tie vs a Championship teanm for a place in the semi's ?? these opportunities won't come around again for years.

You don't get to the very edge of being sacked if things have gone as well as you say they have. There's a reason ex pros and journos alike were all using phrases like 'he's got to go'. Even JJ in that Milan game was saying stuff like "I can't believe what I'm seeing. These Spurs fans aren't going to put up with him much longer". You don't hear stuff like that if things are going well. You just don't. We have spent a lot of money in the last few years so I think the minimum Levy will want is a CL place, particularly with Chelsea and Liverpool in limbo. The fact remains that if normal service resumed, I think there'd be an argument to say we'd be in 7th place, one behind Newcastle, who have looked miles better than us this season. Thank god for their League Cup distraction that derailed them.

On the face of it, yes, 4th twice in a row is good, but it's about more than that. I don't think Levy will be as keen on keeping Conte on as you think he'd be, even if we did nail 4th. He's not great for PR and acts like he's doing us a favour all the time. Levy will NOT want to have to deal with such a flaky, high-maintenance again. We owe as much to good fortune to see us sitting where we as we do Conte. More in fact.

The tide could turn though. I'll level with you. I'm shiiiit-scared that a decent run in will see him stay. It'll be a false dawn and the biggest mistake Levy will have made to date.

Yeah when they are making those comments our season is falling apart - out of the cups and losing at Wolves with Liverpool smashing United and it looks like we’re finishing 6/7th - at which point Conte is done

You are right to be worried - because if we finish 4th again I’m not sure there will be an appetite at the club to replace the manager - Paratici will be backing Conte and Levy will he really want to go on the managerial merry go round again - or will he think, despite all the issue we had this year (most if not all self inflicted) Conte still got us 4th.

Does Daniel care what the fans think if we’re selling out the stadium every other week. Will Daniel care about chants against a knife when there are chants against him also.

Are things going well - absolutely not.

Are things going badly to the point of no return - not even close.

I’m telling you, Levy will be satisfied with 4th place and the door will remain open for Conte.

Levy is the issue - which is why we need him gone more than anyone else at the club

My nan would be smart enough to know that any upturn in form would be because we've had no cup distractions, just as we did last year, and she's been dead 15 years. If Levy can't understand that and repeats the same mistakes then we're screwed. He has to look at the bigger picture. Aside from his undeniable frugality, he also seems to know jack shiiit about the game, which I find astonishing after 20 years at the helm of one of the biggest clubs in the league. That was exposed in the All or Nothing doc. He really doesn't have a clue so I don't trust him to make the right call on Conte. I just hope and pray that Conte fecks off of his own accord.

The more likely scenario if we finish 4th - Conte will pull off a Jose and say getting that squad to 4th two years running was his greatest achievement in management. His credibility as a manager would remain intact and he could probably go back to Juve and turn them round.

The only sticking point is that we pay him £15m a year and he doesn’t stand a chance of getting even a third of that in Italy.

Your nan probably cares about the cups more than Levy - he won’t give 2 schitts if we suddenly go on a run now and the only reason is because we only have to play 1 game a week - Levy will instead argue against the laws of time and try get more weeks in the year the Khunt.

You are correct, he knows faaack all about football if it can’t be calculated on a spreadsheet, worse still he doesn’t care.

Couldn’t you claim to have a granny from Madrid and pretend Real were your true childhood club - used to turn up on the day with a milk crate at the Bernabeu - Di Stefano used to drink in your local boozer and once ruffled your hair when you asked him for an autograph ?

Hindsights always accurate. I wonder if 2 new CBs would transform our football. If yes then 90m on 2 new CBs might solve a lot of our problems. I don't think we can spend more than 55m on a defender. And the other one for 35m. Better yet a free.

Ndicka and Skriniar would cost less than 90m.

We've been lucky Kane hasn't had an injury. Uts for this reason I understand why Richarlison was bought instead of a CB but in reality we needed too much this year.

We've bought 4 new wingbacks this season to fix our wingback issues

We bought back up to Kane.

We bought back up to Lloris (fortunately)

Next summer full focus on 2 x CBs and keeper. Not saying it will happen but maybe Conteball might improve if Dier Davies and Samchez are nowhere near starting

For gods sake the Levy argument again overshadowing the Conte problems really?

Ignore the fecking players and take the facts. If all a manager had was top 6 championship players and the club could not afford better then he would still not be expected to lose to a division 1 side.

Regardless of whether or not Levy could have spent more its irrelevant. We went out of 3 cups this season, one to Forest, one to Sheffield and then to Milan.

It does not matter if Levy never spent a fecking penny this year we still have a better squad available than any of those sides that knocked us out of cups. Thats the issue.

Now thats a manager problem through either team selection, tactics or incompetence. In none of those games did we look any good. In none of those games did we fecking score would two new centre backs have helped us score then strike you plank? Would a new goalkeeper have knocked a couple in our opponents net then?

Levy might be a plank and he might be tight but Conte had enough to win all 4 of those games without new centre defenders, midfield players or a new goalkeeper.

He failed in all 4 games without us scoring a goal. There is no fecking way thats down to Levy. Levy might be to blame for us not being capable of winning the league but the only person to blame for those cup defeats was Conte.

Or do you think Forest, Sheffield Utd have better squads than us allowing for the fact that they both rested a lot of players.

Strike stop the fecking record ffs Conte got us knocked out of the cups not Levy.

Yep who got us knocked out at Chelmsford Grand

Who got us knocked out at home to Norwich

Who was around for those two plus Sheff U

You are gonna have to get used to Conte if we make 4th Grand - Levy won’t sack him and no one else is paying Conte £15m a year - I feel for you pal I really do, better hope we start losing or Liverpool/Newcastle go on a run

Spurs are punching way above their weight if they finish in the top four. Two years running really is quite remarkable given the obvious limitations of the squad.

I am genuinely bewildered that Spurs fans can’t see this reality and show some support and appreciation.

While I agree with this, there is one thing that needs explaining.......
if Conte is so bad...why is there no player revolt?
Surely the players would be disagreeing with the tactics by, lets say, the Sheffield game, or the second Milan game?
It would seem the players agree with what he is doing?
Explain that, Grandspur?
