It's worth remembering that Conte criticised the players had at his disposal at Chelsea even though they'd won him the league the year before. He was sacked because of his form and criticisms of the squad.
The same happened at Juve.
Most managers with any kind of level head will recognise this is just what Conte does when he's backed into a corner and his reputation gets questioned. It says more about him than it does about our squad. He's not entirely wrong. He has some valid points but he's also criticising the very thing he's paid to do. If they're not performing, it's on him. If they're low on confidence, it's up to him to pick them up. This to me absolutely reeks of a man in defensive "it's not my fault" mode. Most of what he said we can ignore because the right manager can correct those issues.
He's just a wrong'un. Simple as that.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Spot On... Was a terrible hire in the first place, made by a guy who has no idea what he's doing. Only Spurs (the least Checkbook Club of the PL heavyweights could go and hire the 2 most demanding, checkbook reliant managers of the last 25 years).......Utter shambles of a club, rotton to core with absurd delusions of grandeur.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Spot on Diamond - Conte was only an issue at Spurs because Levy is our chairman and has less understanding of football than Maf does of quantum physics
I was always prepared to give Conte a chance and a decent bit of time. However I am now thoroughly fed up with his griping and turgid football manager.
Some call him a tactical genius, yet we are one down at home against Milan and when Romero was sent off he brought on Sanchez.
Even Ryan Mason was seen gesticulating WTF and shaking his head at this decision.
What was needed was another front player and then throw everything at Milan, it would not matter if we had then lost another 3 goals but showed grit and determination to try to at least take the game to extra time and penalties.

Remember we had 3 managers in Redknapp, Jol & Poch who gave us some terrific times and full on attacking football.
None of these were so called “elite” managers, yet in a poll of the last couple of decades would certainly be the most popular Spurs manager who the fans loved.
Yes, I would welcome Poch back with open arms, and if not him then either Thomas Frank or Roberto De Zerbi would be good shouts.
Some of the pundits are begging up Vincent Kompany, but not sure about that one. Although he is doing a great job at Burnley🤔
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Have you watched Brentford? They play dull percentage football. I don’t want Franks at all.
It’s interesting that other managers believe Conte is right about this squad being weak minded, I think we all knew that.
Those thinking it can’t be that bad, who wouldn’t want to manage Spurs - let’s remember when Jose was sacked we spent 7 weeks without a manager and had to settle for Nuno in the end as the only other options were Fonseca and Gattusso.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yes I have watched them and the games I have seen they have performed well and the football was good too.
I Don't like Conte personally and I hate his brand of football.... but don't kid yourself, He's doing exactly what "Conte does".... This is ALL ON LEVY !!!!....Anyone with half a brain cell saw this coming. On what planet, other than the one Levy lives on, does it make any sense to give Jose or Conte the likes of Davidson Sachez, Dier, Ben Davies, Royal, PEH, Skipp etc and then buy players that he clearly doesn't want.... Spense & Danjuma..... I wouldn't pay Daniel Levy to walk my dog !

I think it's worth pointing out that those of us that have wanted Conte gone for quite some time weren't doing so based on some irrational sense of hate, it was because the model of Conte as manager and ENIC as owner was always doomed to fail. He is and always has been a cheque book manager working for a club with limited funds. It was less about him personally and more about an unworkable relationship with those higher up.

I agree, I guess I hoped that this was the time people would see Levy for what he is.
It’s very worrying that some expect Levy to get this next appointment right - pound to a penny he won’t, we will end up with Tuchel who will play a high press and then lament our defence when the opposition play a low block and loft balls over Eric Diers head that he is too slow to run back for

Only elements - what did he say that wasn’t true
Matt Law saying that other managers are agreeing with Conte’s points made on Saturday
Paul O'Keefe saying on twitter that Spurs aren't looking for an interim Mason appointment. They're looking to bring in a permanent manager NOW although there are no guarantees whether they can pull it off.
Sounds to me like one of Poch, Enrique or Tuchel.
Levy just epitomises a lack of risk and ambition. His name is synonymous with it. No trophies despite being within touching distance several times and having Kane.
I think the Kame situation is what hurts and angers fans most. Spurs can't sign a player of that calibre and they've basically allowed years of his loyal service to go down the toilet. That isn't something Levy can justify. I think he has taken Kanes loyalty for granted.
Conte played football that suited a team and players he didnt have total confidence in. I've said for ages now Levy rep would deter top prospects from signing long term, and it seems that extends to managers too.

That I think Levy knows faaack all and can’t take the club forward
Do you feel differently to that? Do you think that Levy can deliver trophies?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Your agenda is that you support anything that suits your anti-Levy stance. Even if it supporting something the cretin Matt Law says, it would be like a Liverpool fan supporting something said in the S*n cos it suited their agenda.
I think Levy knows a lot about football, hence how we've been largely on an upwards trajectory under his reign until recently.
Do I think Levy can deliver trophies? I think thats a difficult question to answer as I don't think we are a club who can expect trophies. As much as we've progressed and as good as we are, we are still the 6th biggest club in England based on revenue.
I think we should have won a trophy or two in the time-being, but I don't think people would change their tune if we had a league cup. I don't think, however, it is Levy's fault that we played Son in a FA Cup semi-final, or Vorm in a FA Cup semi-final, or lost to a team with a manager in jail, or played an obviously tactically wrong front three of Son/Richy/Moura, or that we handled the ball due to a BS rule 3 minutes into a CL final.
I think he has his flaws, but I don't think people discuss what they are correctly. They just bang about a load of nonsense which often aligns closely with anti-Jewish stereotypes.

Well first off I’m not anti Jewish, I am anti Levy - the fact he is Jewish does not affect my feelings with regards to his running of our club one way or another, I just think that he knows faaack all about building a successful team on the pitch.
Secondly I accept we spend good money - just never appropriately.
My thoughts on Levy is this - his initial phase at this club was very successful - he took us from being lower mid table to a club consistently in Europe. Financially he has us now mixing with the big boys.
However he has completely lost his way since getting us back into the European places, his litany of crimes are as follows:
Sacks Jol at Half time in a game we won 6-0 after big Martin had put us back on the map
Sacks AVB after he gets us a record points total and has Gareth Bale sold
Sacks Redknapp after he gets us two 4th placed finishes
Sacks Poch after he gets us a CL final and 4th place after a summer with zero spend
First club ever with a zero spend summer
Sacks Jose 6 days before a cup final
Talks about finding a manager that matches Spurs DNA - then takes 7 weeks and eventually appoints Nuno - you reckon Levy knows about football though
Sacks Nuno after the fans really turn on Levy after the United game - schitts his pants and pays Conte £15m to save his own skin.
Conte - takes a team from 9th to 4th. On the brink of sacking Co te whilst we’re 4th
Please argue with any of the above?
If it is Tuchel, forget it. This club is dead to me.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
I think Conte is a good manager and didn’t agree with you on him, however I always accepted that when the inevitable meltdown comes (it always does) it was time for us to part ways and it is always the fault of him, even if what he says has elements of truth to it
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Only elements - what did he say that wasn’t true

What’s my agenda?
