I hope the pressure isn't getting to Coops, it was a poor decision to play Jono for 90+ minutes against the Geordies.
We need a good performance against Wolves, it would be nice to win this but imperative not to lose imo.
Final game against Palace could be crucial.
Having just looked at the table, there are effectively two leagues in the EPL, there are no mid table teams who might be taking their foot go the gas!
Villa with a game in hand will be looking toward 7th place, whereas from Palace down everybody will be looking over their shoulder at the looming trapdoor.
Even Southamton will believe if they can string a few results together 17th is possible.
Who is going to hold their nerve and who is going to crack?
Only one suspension for us, Nunes's red was rescinded after video evidence confirmed that even the PGMOL could not justify the actions of the incompetent fools they'd put in charge of the match.
Was that how they worded their decision OLdGold?

According to Data specialists Nielsen's Gracenote (whoever they are) we have a 20%chance of relegation. They have 5 teams with a greater chance of the drop, with Forest, Bournemouth and Southampton their bottom 3.
Technically we could be 12th after this round of fixtures or bottom, that’s how tight it is. Wood is out for the season, unfortunately he played enough games to force a move through if we stay up at the end of the season, feels like a big £15m gamble, tbh he’s not worth it. Hopefully Taiwo will start against Wolves, though Surridge imo is still a good option. Dennis is starting to show a bit for of what he’s capable, and Johnson may not be fit enough for 90 minutes. Aurier has a bit of a niggle, and i heard Lodi’s has just become a father (possibly again), so not sure if he’ll play. As stated above Wolves have only one suspension, following their appeal, and like us can struggle to score goals. It’s a game we desperately need to win, but can not afford to lose, ideally we need four points from the next two, or we are bang in trouble. I normally look at how we did in the away fixture, but both us and Wolves we shocking in that game, so will ignore it, basically penalties decided the points, the one they scored the one we missed. I feel the crowd will be bang up for this one and go for the Reds, 2-1 with Taiwo and MGW scoring.
We desperately need key players fit and ready for the subs bench at least.
We have bought too many players of late who are going to be a liability next season which ever division we find ourselves in.
If we do go down the man with the best credentials to bring us straight back up is Stevie Cooper.
I hope people don't forget what he achieved last season, because should the Greeks sack him, I wouldn't be surprised if another Prem team snapped him up.
So is Johnson fit or not? Get the impression that he may not be but Cooper is keeping it back, like a looming threat for us to worry about.

Your guess is as good as ours, Cooper is always very crafty when it comes to injuries
Not sure we can look at the Wolves game in isolation, it’s a 3 game week that is season defining
Wolves - Villa - Leeds
We need 5 to 7 points minimum
A lots said about away form but at this point the squad need to put that behind them, every game is a cup final! A battle, A war. All the teams we face this week have premier league established squads with good players and good managers with huge support that will expect to beat us. To match that, Cooper needs to pick a team that will leave everything on the pitch
My team
Henderson
Aurier Worrall Felipe Lodi
Colback Yates Kouyate
MGW
Surridge Awoniyi
Assuming Johnson not fit.
Agree with other comments, regardless of the outcome this season the long term vision must include Cooper.
I'm fairly sure that Johnson will play (upsetting Rob Page even more). I also think that Kouyate and Awoniyi will also get on the pitch. Hopefully from the start, even if only for an hour.
The outcome will depend on two things, which team best holds their nerve, and which team keeps eleven players on the pitch.
The team I'd like to see start:
Navas
Aurier Niakhate Felipe Lodi
Yates Kouyate
Johnson MGW Dennis
Awoniyi.
Predicted score (if that is the starting eleven or close to it)
Forest 2-0

I would rest Jono and play Dennis down the right flank, I think Navas will keep his place in goal he hasn't put a foot wrong in open play. Henderson is too injury prone , so I can see him going back to Old Trafford.
Henderson will be missing for at least another 3 (not sure if that’s game or weeks). Utd offered him stay at OT for the rest of the season, but he declined their offer, can’t really see him going back there. Interesting to see where he ends up next season.

I don’t think we can afford to rest Johnno for this one. It is one of our best chances of three points and we should throw everything at it and be on the front foot from the start.
If Johnson does start they will be giving him special attention. I think we have the ref who gave Fulham three red cards against Man U.
According to various sources Cooper has TWO matches to save his job, hope this is not true. I believe the players are 100% behind Cooper and hopefully will show this. Wolves and Leeds are must NOT lose matches, though tbh we need to win at least one of them. Even if we go down, we need to stick with Cooper because just the like quite a few of the players, the prem is a massive learning curve. Cooper is definitely struggling with his away tactics, but i think at home he’s been pretty good. Let’s hope we do have enough for Cooper to keep his job, i can’t think of anyone I’d sooner have in charge at the moment.
The side could end up being pretty lightweight:
Navas
Williams Worrall Felipe Toffolo
Colback Danilo Shelvey
Dennis Surridge MGW
Back in Full Training: Awoniyi.
Injured Last Game: Yates, Johnson.
International Duty / Injuries: Aurier (I), Niakhate, Freuler, Kouyate, Mangala, Ayew (I).
Out for a Month: Hennessy, Henderson, McKenna.
Out for the season: Biancone, Boly, Richards, Wood.
Random Reasons: Lodi (kid), Lingard (acting lessons), Scarpa (crypto),
Let’s hope we have some luck with players available for selection!

It's a high risk game. We have to be brave and take some risks. Anyone who is 80% will be considered for the starting line up.
Big risk I know, but big rewards if it pays off.
The same probably applies to them (and to all teams).
I'm tipping (tempting fate) Leeds, 'Muff and Palce to all lose today; and Wolves of course.. If I'm right the cushion is back to a nice fluffy five points.

I really hope we win today but it’s hard to see. Won’t the team we have out it looks like it could be a struggle in midfield. I suspect we will concede the usual minimum of 2 goals. So that means it’s hard to get 3 points.
I hope I am wrong and that something in this line up really clicks. You never know. We need the crowd more than ever this afternoon that’s for sure
That is a baffling starting eleven, hope it works, but I have serious reservations. Surely Taiwo starts with Kouyate and Ideally Lodi. Fingers and everything else crossed for this one.
