If spurs hire Martinez i cant wait for the meltdown on here, whilst sandy tells us he was the best man for the job
you mean the recently appointed manager of Portugal?
yeah that wouldn't be good, are you gonna do an article about every person it would be bad to appoint, regardless of if we've been linked to them? because that could take a while
excited for the pardew article tomorrow
and to be honest, I'm coming around to that idea more and more. Anyone else and they'll think they're above us.
Doubt it, he has only just taken over the Portugal national team job, unlikely he would jump ship. Think he likes international football over the 7 days a week pressure of the PL🤔
Heard Mick McCarthy was on the list alongside Such eminent and talented management protégés like Savage, Robbie not Lily.

Id imagine its much easier to deal with abuse and takes longer for the fans to realise you dont have a clue. Martinez prob much prefers hearing the abuse every 3 months rather than every week

Martinez is comically bad, the man has built a career in top level management off the back of Ben Watson fluking a winner.
Arne Slot based on what.
A 3rd place Eredivisie finish, losing the European paint trophy final. They are top by 6 points over the worst Ajax side in a decade but he's got lots more to prove.

He's done a very good job at Feyenoord and they play good football. There were similar comments to yours about Ten Hag this time last year. Can't keep going after these "proven" managers when all that really means is that their best years are behind them
Why would Nagelsmann not be an option?
He got lots of hype at Leipzig but ultimately wacked by Rangers in the Europa Semi then did a schit job at Bayern.
Gives me spursy vibes and not in a good way. I'm far from convinced he's the real deal and not just a hype train that hit the buffers.

I was quite underwhelmed with the idea until I did a bit more digging. He's done very well over there and plays high pressing Pep-style football. It could be a total disaster but I'd rather see us get someone in grateful for the role that will give 110%.

My argument would be Ten Hag achieved a lot more before moving to England in an easier job.
This guy is having a good season and last season 3rd in the league which is last in Holland if you're one of the big 3 which gets overlooked because they got to a European final, one which West Ham are now favourites for.
I'm not saying he can't be good either just that he's a massive gamble at the moment.

Because Madrid are sniffing around but more than that, his former head of recruitment at Leipzig is now at Chelsea. If I were a betting man, that's where I'd say he's heading. As far as I'm concerned, unless Potter wins the CL, he's as good as sacked at Chelsea because he'll have failed to ultimately get them back in the CL for next year. Poch goes to Madrid, JN goes to Chelsea (or PSG as a curve ball) and we end up with someone like Slot. Guaranteed.
if Chelsea were going to sack potter solely based on whether or not they get CL next season he would have been sacked already.
