But the shackles aren’t off. For some reason, unknown to anyone but Daniel levy, the same coaches are all in place.
I don’t expect anything different. Can you imagine how dull this game will be? Dyche football v conte ball without conte
I feel for those heroes taking a day off work, shelling out probably the best part of £300 and travelling to Liverpool to watch ss titanENIC.
I only hope that these players, some of which have now seen off four managers, look at themselves in the mirror, give themselves a good slap and give those travelling fans some commitment and dedication. Heavens knows those fans deserve it.
I am expecting a bad result, Dyche`s dogs of war combined with our long injury list and soft players will likely see us crumble.
I hope I am wrong, but I won`t be watching due to work.
the players reaction will tell you a lot.
If they are still flat they are not of the quality required, if they dont feel the need to prove a point then they are not of the level required. If they are flat like they have been most of the season then Conte point is 100% valid
Everton are fighting for their Premiership lives and I just can't see us matching their effort.
Even with the injuries we have the better players but that won't count for anything because they'll put so much more of a shift in than our feckless bunch.
Hope I'm wrong but I doubt I will be, still looking on the brightside at least they can't ruin my weekend.
Proper six pointer this one.
0-0 bore fest
I think we all have a sneaky suspicion where this one is going, don't we?
Decent start, miss a few good opportunities, spend the second half pondering, inevitably succumbing to a late, probably jammy goal. 1-0 all day long.
wow...not that bothered about your team playing or winning.
I hope THFC can rely on your support when the fair weather returns
be a tough game, reckon a draw

Dogs of war indeed. We know what to expect from a Dyche team but are we able to combat it? They lterally will treat a freekick 10 yards inside their half as a set piece opportunity.
I think they'll target Perisic if he's fit.
I hope Mason has some real input in to the training/preparation as he will bring a front foot element to our approach. We'll see.
Away from home, at a ground with a boisterous crowd and team fighting for their lives. Nah.
Hard to see where the motivation would come from for the rest of this season for this team when we're in such a mess. We have top 4 but nobody cares about that as much as Levy does.
Rico, Davies, Sess, Biss, Bents and Emerson injured
Hugo and Perisic fit.
I can't take another loss so draw or win

I would have to disagree with you. I know footballers can be very quick to check-out, with the whole "on the beach" thing when it comes to meaningless games at the end of the season but i see this as different.
Firstly, Conte has called them out. If any of our players have any integrity and professionalism then they will be wanting to prove Conte wrong.
I actually think that as a group, when perhaps they have to take more personal responsibility, away from the micro-management of Conte, then a lot of them have that in them.
With players like Kane, Son, Skipp, Holjberg, Dier, Romero in the team they are not going to just simply put in a halfarsed effort and they will demand it from the others too.
Sure we are a stuttering team with fragile confidence, so we arent suddenly going to turn into a winning machine, but i would be surprised if we saw a timid half hearted display. They may well prove me wrong, but i hope not.
Have to go for a win…
We have more quality than them… let’s see if Stellini orders them to attack from the off…
We have a point to prove…
Everton are fighting relegation… & also have the threat of points deduction…
A draw is no good to either team though
