Oooh I’m first with the news!!!
Had to happen. Game yesterday was attrocuous
If Top doesn’t get this done (assuming Potter isn’t sick in his mouth at the prospect) then he needs to leave the club right now
I said months ago he wouldn’t last. Bizarre appointment
The prophecy moves a step closer...
Yowzers. Get Potter done!!!!!
I’ve got every faith in Rudkin……
Looking forward to hours of coverage and comments from the O'Haras and Sherwoods of the football world about how harshly he was treated, how he wasn't backed by the board, how he was just too big for the club...or is that just reserved for little Leicester?
Welcome to Tottenham Potter.

Make Potter Work
Top has been given an incredible stoke of luck here - because let’s be clear, there is no plan in place to replace Rodgers. Rob Dorset has confirmed Top had no intention of doing this and going into the bottom 3 was the final straw
That’s absolutely ridiculous contingency planning from our hapless chairman - he now has been gifted an opportunity that he has to take

That would be worse than the Nuno appointment for you guys. He needs a small club that’s broke

Hoped this may happen, think he could be a great fit for us.
Don't mess this up Top ,get him in now .
I’d be worried if he joined for a relegation battle tbh, his teams don’t score enough goals.

We have to start thinking about the rebuild though. There needs to be a contingency here - someone who can rebuild a squad, potentially in the championship. We need a new Pearson - this could be it
Reluctantly, I do wonder if this could be a case of right man, wrong time. He's not an ideal candidate for a relegation battle, and he probably wouldn't want to manage in the Championship if we are relegated. The ideal scenario would be that we survive under Stowell or Benitez and then Potter joins in the summer for the rebuild.

You have to take this opportunity if Spurs don’t go after him. We need to think about the long term not just the next 10 games. Every new manager gets a bounce - so he has a chance

I agree with both 99 and this. Potter would be great for a rebuild but is he right for a relegation battle and quickly getting these players organised. Would he want that stress after everything at Chelsea.
An interim whilst we work out which division we’re going to be in and go in for a potter type appointment if we stay up could be good.
If potter was up for it though and spurs weren’t interested, I guess we shouldn’t wait.
It would be a risk for Potter. Just flopped at Chelsea and he could have relegation on his CV so he may be wary. Then again he could look at the attacking talent and the prospect of a rebuild and accept that relegation wouldn’t really be considered his fault and it’s still a club going places. He would be completely wrong of course but whatever, I’d be happy with him
The fact we made this decision after an international break with no one lined up just tells you everything you need to know about this silver spooned son of a billionaire who can barely tie his own shoelaces without his dad giving him advice

From Potter's perspective, though - what does he have to gain from joining us now? He's just had a likely massive payout from Chelsea so money won't be such a big factor (assuming we can even offer a significant survival bonus). His reputation has just taken a battering - does he risk damaging it even more by being at the helm of a relegated club, even if us going down wasn't his fault?
I am 100% aligned in the view that he is the best person available for the medium-long term and the rebuild that is to come. Our next full time manager needs to be a builder who can rebuild us over 2-3 seasons. He is absolutely the right candidate for that and if he's up for it, we should go for him and offer him whatever it realistically takes. But our current predicament might be a barrier to that.
It's just a shame that we are in such a mess thanks to Rodgers and Top. If we were in mid table obscurity, we could get him in now, let him get his feet under the table, assess the squad and get the rebuild going.
Leicester job will be easy for many managers regardless of our situation, just because our squad is still attractive. It is Rodgers who ruined everything
I’d go for ChatGBT instead
