A guy dies and at the pearly gates St Peter is waiting for him,
"OK, you been a bit naughty down there you have to finish a task before we let you in. "
"Alright, let's get on with it, " the bloke replied. With that St Peter got an old bucket with a hole in it and said,
"See that ocean down there, you have to empty it using just the bucket. "
"Are you taking the pi55?" said the bloke, "is there anything else I can do?"
"Well let's have a look, yes, the Spurs managers job has just become available, you can do that until they win a trophy. "
"FFS, "replied the bloke, "pass me the facking bucket. "

From the moment Leicester lost to Place I don't think there's been any doubt about him becoming the next Spurs Manager.... Couple of Points....

1) He hasn't become a bad manager overnight (Did well at Liverpool and his first 18 months at Leicester were excellent.
2) Can start immediately, No Comp to pay, surely Levy didn't want to gamble CL qualification on Stellini & Mason
3 Don't think Naglesmann was ever a serious candidate, Far better jobs on Offer now (Chelsea) or in the summer (PSG & probably RM) and I think he's currently on paid leave by Bayern. They spent a fortune getting him from Leipzig, so wouldn't come cheap
4) Think Poch has his heart set on RM (That ship has sailed once and for all)
5) Plays a decent attacking brand of football & might help keep Kane if he can bring Maddison with him
6) Be careful overly criticizing his last 12 months at Leicester, their ownership has been a mess for a while, I think I'm right in saying their other business is in the "Duty Free"/ Airport retail industry with has been destroyed in the past 3-4 years.. Thats had a huge impact on the activities of the football club.

He's far from perfect but then again, Spurs aint the greatest job out there (as proved by our managerial performances over the past 3 years !!

I'd try and get him in before the weekend, see what we can make of this season (Plenty still to play for) Back him properly in the summer and see how we go ?

He will be fired in under 18 months 👍

7) I think Potter's performance at Chelsea might have put a few clubs off..... I think Nagglesman will go the Chelsea (Summer), Poch to RM (Summer), Anchelotti to Brazil (Summer), Potter to Leicester (Now), Rogers to Spurs (Now).... Only Leicester and Spurs and a desperate need to get someone in short term with something to play for.. Chelsea aint winning the CL or making Europe

I think I may have spotted a flaw in your plan?

I feel like Nagelsmann was the only option that came anywhere close to a guarantee of going well at Spurs. The remaining (realistic) options all have big asterisks.

Pochettino, Enrique, Nagelsmann - don't want the gig

Slot, Gallardo, Amorim, Kompany - all play attacking football but all unproven in a new league/culture

Potter, Rodgers, Postecoglou - not convinced any are actually as good as Spurs need and the former two are heavily tarnished on recent form

Frank, Glasner - defensive football

I suppose De Zerbi is the one that ticks the most boxes on current form but he's had less than a year of relative success and he'd be expensive, plus Brighton is a great setup and I don't think he has any previous record for rebuilding a squad from scratch

He'd do a good job for you at the beginning. One of his stegnths is bringing young players through and developing them. He starts off playing good attacking football and you'll probably love him at the start.

But, he's a very dislikeble charachter who begins and ends with Brendan Rodgers. When it's all going well, he will take all the credit and will tell you he's an elite manager and everything that goes well is down to him.

When it falls apart, as it will, he'll blame absolutely everyone apart from himself - the players, the board, the fans, everyone else.

He's utterly one dimensional and if it stops working, he will have no clue how to change it. He has no plan B whatsover.

He went out trying desperately not to lose rather than trying to win matches - which we stopped doing after turning you over months ago - and he comes out with the same utter rubbish after every match.

He said we didn't deserve to lose to Palace at the weekend. They had 31 shots on Saturday to our 3.

He alienates players, throws them under the bus and refuses to play them. He won't play players in form and playes the same poor players every week. He'll probably make Dier captain and bench Kane - that's what he's like.

Our players regressed massively under Rodgers to the point where they were shadows of their former selves.

He'd crawl over broken glass to manage Spurs but he'll already be looking for the next job.

You'll probably love him at first but get used to falling at the final hurdle and listening to him taking no blame whatsoever when things go south.

Mix and match categories as you will

One thing is for sure - there's no obvious right answer so Levy has yet again found himself in a tricky spot

Yep and when you consider the names Fab was throwing about before Nuno was appointed it is probably a good job he has stepped down for abit anyway.

Why don’t we just wait and see who our dof selects.

Oh wait…

Riot if the fraudster gets it.

He's got a short shelf life of getting teams to play well then the players see how disingenuous he is and they stop playing for him. Happened at every club he's been at.
