If Leicester go down (or even if they don't) would Ndidi be an option for DM?
He'd be in the last year of his contract this Summer and I seem to recall he was quite highly rated a few years ago.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
If we didn't have Casemiro I'd be open to the idea. But I don't see Ndidi as the player who receives the ball on the turn, beats the press and distributes, which is what we are really lacking.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I was thinking more for cover, rotation etc. I believe he's also played CB at times as well. It depends on what we have to spend of course and the profile of player we need is what you've described. I do think we could do with two in CM really. Casemiro, Eriksen, Fred, Ndidi and new (dare I say) FDJ type player and I think we'd be well covered.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Ndidi's form has dropped off a cliff this season. We were really worried when we lost Kante but Ndidi came in and was almost as good. He played suberbly for a good few seasons but he looks a shadow of his former self - although after playing under Rodgers, most of our players do to be fair.
He has played CB for us but he's like a ticking time bomb in that position. He gave away a stupid ball for Villa's winner last night and he's been doing that all season.
Ndidi a few years ago would have been good for you but he's really not up to the standard now.

Thanks.
I've not really watched him much recently but good insight.
Could a fresh start be what he wants perhaps?
I would also like to add Harvey Barnes as I think he’s a top player who would benefit from a move.

Not sure TBH. His confidence looks shot to pieces and I think a pressure move to United might make him even worse.
The best thing for him (and the worst thing for us) would be if we do drop into the Championship and he can hopefully find his form and confidence again against poorer opposition.
Re Barnes, when he's on it, he's a brilliant player. His goal last night was superb, but he's another confidence player and when he's off it, he looks really bad.
Could deffo do you a job though and I suspect he would relish playing with better players than he's playing with now.
On the subject of (ex) Leicester players I wonder if Kasper Schmeichel would come into any GK considerations if De Gea does leave?
