Got lounge access with my travel insurance. Food any good there?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Nice one Babyen! Noswaith dda. Which insurance is that? I'm going in a few weeks and have been toying with the idea of a lounge.
Maybe this is where the use of the firearm first comes in handy? The sudden drop in cabin pressure might disable the security features on the aircraft exit doors.
Remind me never to get on a plane after I’ve had a few drinks followed by a clown wearing wooden shoes.
its not a security thing.
At 30k feet there is 20K lbs of pressure behind the door so you would need to be Superman to push it open

Unless it’s a proper first or business class lounge, it’s basically pointless now because the lounges are more full than the regular terminal. Wouldn’t bother!

Drink four pints and you have covered the cost of going in the business class lounge. You can get absolutely hammered for £23!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Never got why people do this before flights
Also if it’s £23 to get lounge access, that lounge will be fvcking shiiiiiiit.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Many people are nervous flyers. Myself included. Before I had a family I used to drink several pints and then easily go to sleep on the plane and wake up hours later ready for landing. I can't do that now as I obviously have kids, which makes flying a nervous experience that feels like days.
I haven't had a drink before or during flying for years, couldn't take the hangover anymore.

I don't drink so much that I'm gonna have a hangover. Although to be fair it takes me to drink until I can't remember a thing to get a hangover.

To be honest I was hoping Babyen had a spare code so I could get a free lounge access to get some free drinks before flying!
You just have to laugh a British middle aged blokes sitting in the pub area of International Departure Lounges supping ale at 6 O'clock in the morning just because they can and they are about to go on holiday.
What's all that about?

Literally the safest form of transport in the world, nothing to be nervous about. You were in far more danger on the car ride to the airport.
It’s also worth baring in mind that the vast majority of faults on an aeroplane mid flight will result in an instant fatality.
So if the plane did crash you wouldn’t have to worry about mourning for your loved ones if they are with you

This is an excellent point. Also worth noting that you wouldn’t have to worry about your family having to push you round in a wheelchair or feed you through a straw, or pay £6.00 an hour to park when visiting the hospital.
