I remember us doing the double over Rotherham but him being man of the match in both games. Then Huddersfield signed him when I was hoping we'd go in for him.
In the end we did sign him but he barely kicked a ball for us. I wish him well.

Who you thinking of White, he played 2 games for us, nine minutes as a second half sub in an away defeat to QPR and featured in that playoff game against Derby, 2 minutes from time at ER. Less than 20 minutes. Not named on the bench at all against Rotherham, never mind being MOTM.
He’s talking about when 16-17 when Brown played for Rotherham. Before Huddersfield and then us signed him on loan.
ah I see, I kind of assumed he meant when he was with us, it makes sense now.
The game at ER, when he played for Rotherham, he was the best player by a country mile.
Thought he get to the very top. Injuries killed him.
I also dont think the massive money he was on at chelsea, at a very young age, helped.
Classy player but even when he played for us before the really bad injuries got him you could see he was clearly made of biscuits. Shame for the lad as he really could play, but just wasn't cut out for the physical rigour of the pro game. Still really young so hopefully he can go on and make a really good life for himself.
It's why I never really begrudge a young player getting a big money move, you never know how short a career can be.
Awful signing for us, a player who was already going to be injured for months, reminded me of other dead end signings like signing Telfer out of retirement and Malcom Christie.
