Look at the big six records at Anfield of late. Says it all
As bad as Liverpool are this season, last season they came within two games of doing an unprecedented quadruple. It’s a good job Salah wasn’t at his best, because he could’ve had another hat trick against us easily.
Exactly , I would have gladly taken a point before the game
Normally I’d agree, but given the context of the game - you were two up and they missed a penalty, can’t see how you can look at it any way other than two points dropped
Salah at times, especially at Anfield, is virtually unplayable
For me he will probably go down as the best prem winger ever

Because we should have lost after the 40th minute. We got absolutely pummelled and it was a missed penalty + some inspired goalkeeping from Ramsdale that kept us in the match. Honestly, that second half performance from us is the second worst I've seen us play all season - only usurped by Leeds away in October.
Time will tell whether that's a valuable point or not, but the main thing was to ensure we came out of Anfield with something. We haven't won there since 2012 and hadn't taken a point from there since 2016.
Let's not forget they have beaten you lot, United and Newcastle there. The only team that's beaten them at Anfield in the league is Leeds. They also have the 3rd best home record in the division.
So whilst the circumstances of the draw were not good, overall, we have to see it as a valuable point.
I don't think a draw at Anfield is a bad result at all in isolation. But when you're in a close title race and had a 2 goal lead, it's a result that does City a lot more favours than Arsenal. By no means out of this race at all but with trips to City and Newcastle to come, it's not ideal, that's for sure.
Pep has won once at Anfield and that was when there was no crowd

The context is everything though, I can’t remember a time City have gone to Anfield at this stage of the season with as much riding on a win - if Arsenal are plucky underdogs punching above their weight then a draw probably isn’t a bad result. If you think you are genuine contenders though you need to find a way to see that game out. Can’t imagine Arteta is happy with a point given how the game played out.

I'm pretty sure you drew at home to Liverpool last season in Aprl. You also lost to Liverpool away in April 2014. Both occasions you won the league.
I also remember Man United dropping a 2 goal lead at Anfield in early May 1999 but they beat us to the title by a single point.
2 in, up and you bottled it
Lucky to get a point. a game after all is 90 minutes.
Don't think you bottled it either that's just a lazy expression that people use way too often.
Also think the title is yours, city will lose some points.
Just have to take them one game at a time.
Good luck.

Point for us is fine against them for us as long as we win the rest of our games and avoid defeat against Newcastle.

Getting 4 points against Klopp's Liverpool can, overall, be seen as positive regardless of the circumstances. You have not been able to do that this season and even in previous seasons where you've won the league, you've only managed to beat them at Anfield once in Pep's 7 years.
If we don't win the title, this is not the game that will have been the sticking point. It will be the Brentford match at home, the Southampton draw away and the Everton loss which were the results that would have proven to be costly.
I agree having gone 2-0 up that we shouldn't be dropping points, but when we're heavily under siege at a ground where the home team's record is only bettered by the 1st & 2nd teams in the division, we have to accept a point, as we were inches away from losing.
Arteta may well not be happy with a point, but it is his own fault as he took too long to make changes and the changes he made weren't the right ones.
The main thing was to, at bare minimum, leave Anfield with a result - which we did.
So, whilst momentum may have slightly shifted in your favour, we still have a decent chance of winning the title.
My honest opinion is you are going to beat us to it unfortunately. But there is still time for Arsenal to prove me wrong. It's not over yet.
Turning point was Xhaka losing his discipline.
Hes been really good all season and he chooses Anfield of all places to do his foolishness.Fair play to Jesus for getting him away from TAA. The crowd are livened up it injects to the team and 1 minute later Salah scores
Full 3 points would have given us some cushion against City, now City game becomes so important that we cannot afford to lose it...at least 1 point is must. Playing Liverpool at Anfield is always difficult compared to playing City at Etihad but I just hope we don't get mental block at Etihad..
