Yes.

He is the best right back at the club and with the club in yet another transition having him at the club is a good thing.

No

Sadly Rasmus hasn't looked good enough yet and Drameh is still raw.

Guess we didn't have a choice but Ayling should be nowhere near the starting 11

Just how raw is Drameh? He was player of the season, last season, after just six months at Cardiff as a 20 year-old. This season he has played his part in a much improved Luton who will be promoted this season.
We should never have sign Kristiensen and never have sent Cody out on loan. I have no doubt that in those circumstances, Drameh would have been our starting RB by now.
As it is, we run the risk of losing him in the summer.

I would be looking to integrate Drameh into the team next season. Highly likely if we sell Kristensen we wont get what we paid for him. Personally I think Ayling is past his best now. Can see why we offered him a new contract but should only be back up now. In fact all the old guard are now past their prime. Can add Cooper and Bamford to that list too.

Ailing Ayling

Contract runs until the end of 2024, if we get relegated, cannot see Cody being with us next season. If Luton come up, expect them to sign him even if we don't get relegated.

Drameh never looked particularly impressive in a Leeds shirt for the first team, I know it’s limited opportunities but I can see why the club didn’t think he was ready. Two managers now were happy for him to be out of the picture

Think the whole defence ain't up to it and a lot of work needs doing to it. Wober aside, we need changes at the back. Its full of top end championship defenders imo. The only defender at the club I rate is Wober who aint a world beater, but looks like one alongside the others.

Ayling still has a role at the club, he's as in the same bracket of the highly regarded Pablo, Klich, Berardi etc.

You’d have to be blind not to see that Ayling is past his best - he should never be starting for us. BUT he is a great and positive presence around the club so I’d love to see him being used in some capacity.

I think he's a good player to have around the club, so the contract was probably a good thing. I imagine he knows that he isn't first XI quality now, and is possibly a bit surprised at how much he has been asked to play.

Seen a lot of comments on him that go past criticism and become more hurtful (online generally, not necessarily here). That's disappointing, because the guys been a great servant, and should be remembered as a proper hero of the Bielsa years.

Ayling, Forshaw, Cooper, Bamford, Dallas and Rodrigo all the wrong side of 30, injuries and old man time catching up with them...Can't keep them all!

This 👆🏻

That’s twice I’ve agreed with what you said. Does that make it officially a bromance?

Agree with that too about Ayling.

It's the right decision

But he's had injuries etc and I feel he should play, but more of a squad option not every game

Should be on a lot lower wage than anyone we would bring in to replace him. If the club have any sense with negotiations anyway.

He's obviously a good lad. Can still do good things but isn't able to be consistent.

Let's assume we are looking for a right back in the summer. I would prefer to keep Ayling & Drameh and move on Kristensen for a fee with likely higher wage than those 2 put together. Give Drameh a year as an understudy to try and prove himself knowing Ayling is in the back ground just in case.
