Not many teams get 40m for a player surplus to requirements hitting 30.

Maybe. Obviously the lower the better but given what we’ve spent and what many players have spent I don’t think 40 is too high. This is more his role that he’s playing now.

Not at all. I said it ages ago when there was no figure from Bayern and I doubt there is now.

He’s decent, I’d take him at £20m. £40m I’m not sold, goes missing a lot, decision making is hit and miss. A good all rounder but I think we need better as a starting midfielder.

Yeah he’s to replace one of McFred for me. I know £40m is a lot but he doesn’t fk with our confidence, very solid player and a good all rounder like you say. You need people like that in your 14
